What procedure would be necessary for a fatty pubic area? (Photos)

Congratulations on your weight loss! This can be treated with liposuction, but with all that weight loss lose skin can be the issue and might have to remove skin and fat  by lifting the pubic area, always see a board certified PS.

For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck or body lifting procedure, depending on skin laxity. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. Congrats on losing so much weight! that is not an easy task and takes commitment so you are to be commended. Sometimes these areas simply will not go down with weight loss alone and liposuction can help remove the bulging soft tissue. However, massive weight loss patients often have excess skin requiring removal, so this may involve an incision at the top of the pubic area extending in the line of a tummy tuck or around the pubic mound edges depending on the findings on exam. Go see one or more board-certified plastic surgeons for in-person evaluation to assess your options!

Congratulations on your major weight loss -- that's quite a success.  The problem you describe is common following such weight loss.  It is certainly treatable, and most often by liposuction.  There are some patients that need more lifting or tightening, which can also be done, but is a somewhat more involved procedure.  Your plastic surgeon can evaluate you and make recommendations during your in-person consultation.  Best Wishes.

Thank you for your question and for posting the photos.  First of all, congratulations on the weight loss. That is a tremendous amount of work and you must be very proud of yourself.  The fat in this area may be stubborn and resistant to general weight loss (as you already know).  This area may be very easily treated with liposuction.  Based on your skin quality from the photo (you did not list your age), the majority of the skin should contract.  If there is loose skin after a few months, you may require a secondary procedure to excise the loose skin.

Thank you for question and photos. First of all congratulations on your weight loss. The issue you are describing is common and causes lots of embarrassment. It is easily treated with a surgical procedure called monsplasty and some liposuction. Please seek an experienced board certified plastic surgeon who deals with the MWL patient. Good luck DrMaz
