Re-posting with better pictures. I am interested in a mini facelift to correct jowls that appeared after significant weight loss. Also looking for suggestions to correct hollowing around my eyes. This worsened with weight loss. I had HA tear trough filler last year but would like to avoid it moving forward. Would a mini facelift be appropriate? Or should I do a regular faceliift?
Answer: A Mini Face lift is not indicted While I have performed over 5000 Facelifts, I do not believe that you need one at this stage There are other non-surgical ways such as lasers, radiofrequency, ultrasound technologies that can improve the tone etc.

Answer: Mini facelift an excellent choice. Congratulations on your weight loss. Thank you for your photographs. Your overall facial and neck contour is excellent with just an hint of irregularity of your jawline. A mini facelift would be an excellent option to straighten your jawline and define it better with reduced downtime. A mini facelift is easily accomplished under local anesthesia. If you would consider that option, therefore reducing the cost. The least invasive way to improve the following under your eyes would be either a dilute hyaluronic acid filler, or micro fat grafting. Both have their positives and negatives. Discuss this in detail with your plastic surgeon. Best wishes.

Answer: Lip lift & chin implant I would not recommend a mini facelift. However, I would recommend a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. You would also benefit from a chin implant to balance out your face. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Hold off on the mini face lift I love limited incision face lifts and have had nice results for years with the right patients. But I think there may be an easier answer for you at age 31. Despite your weight loss you appear to have good quality skin but I do see the jowling that bothers you. This could be addressed with liposuction to the jowls, a quick procedure done in the office with local anesthesia. I believe your skin would contract nicely and the jowls would be gone. You'll save the time, money, and recovery of a more extensive procedure. Of course it won't address the eyes. Hard to tell without examining you in person, but filler might be the most straightforward procedure right now given your skin quality. I'd suggest an in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. As you've seen from the variety of answers there are multiple options but all depend on the quality of your skin which can be difficult to judge in photos. Best of luck!

Answer: Would a mini lift be appropriate for me at age 31 You do not need a mini lift at age 31. You do not have jowls, but you have a hollow pre-Jowl sulcus and a mild recessive chin A a pre-jowl implant, or a pre-jowl chin implant could accomplish augmenting the width of your chin. These implants are manufactured by Implantech This procedure can be done under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure, which takes about 30 minutes
