Mini facelift for 30-something year old? (Photo)

Hello! I am in my 30's and considering a mini facelift. I lost a substantial amount of weight and noticed that I started developing jowls. Will a mini facelift fix the problem?

Weight loss can cause skin laxity and jowls and sometimes looseness in the neck in katients in their thirties.  A deep plane approach will give a natural appearing cirrrction that will be long lasting. Many mini facelifts do not address the deeper layers . Consult with more than one surgeon and look at before and after pictures

I recommend a lip lift.  A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.

It’s hard to tell from the photo if a facelift would be beneficial. Performing a facelift in someone your age is not common but if you’ve list a lot of weight it may be worthwhile in your situation

At 30 years of age, you do not need it in any type of facelift or mini lift. You have a prominent pre-Jowl sulcus  just in front of your Jowl area. This can be augmented with a pre-Jowl style chin implant without giving you any forward projection, and just fill in your two sidewalls of your chin. This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure, which takes about 30 minutes.

To make a facial assessment, we need a complete set of proper facial pictures. Take a look at plastic surgeons and how they take before and after pictures to get an idea.
We definitely need to see profile pictures, as well as frontal pictures and the pictures need to show the entire face.
 Developing premature gels is most likely correlated to facial bone structure.
In particular this happens on individuals who have a mandible that is small in relationship to their maxilla.
This typically goes hand-in-hand with individuals who have an overbite dental occlusion. It typically will also show loss of jawline, definition, potential, premature double chin, and , on profile pictures, the upper lip will have more forward projection than the lower lip.
30 is young for having a facelift.
I’m not a big fan of a mini procedures because they tend to have all the drawbacks of the formal procedure, but only some of the benefits.
 if you have substantial weight loss in your past then volume correction may be a better option.
We can’t really make a quality assessment based on the information provided.
I suggest having multiple in person consultations with experienced plastic surgeons in your community.
