Dr. Munasifi and Dr. Danielle are the best ones in DC area period!! My mom got the fillers on her face and Dr. Danielle is not only a doctor. She is also a perfectionist artist and incredible person. She took time with mom. Like I have never seeing in USA before with a doctor and focused on every little detail. I just feel so comfortable and trust them with my life. My daughter got a laser for her skin and coolscolping a few months ago. And I went this time and got Ultherapy on face, neck and abdomen one week before of getting my deep CO2 laser on my face. Is just have been a few weeks and I Love it!!!! They literally took 10 years so far. Let's wait until final results in 3 months. Omg. I can't wait! I will go tomorrow to get a skin test to see if Bellafill is good for my skin. I will get fillers in on the temples and lips. And there is only two people I trust my heath. My body and moreover my face. Doctor Munasifi and Dr Danielle. One of the most important that I'm not mentioning yet. The staff is just extraordinarily amazing! Thank you guys for all the patience, help and awesome results. I am planning on maintaining my self young and beautiful just with them. Highly recommended!!!
Great service! Staff is very nice and hospitable. They ensure the best results and work hard to achieve your goals. They establish a great rapport with clients. Highly recommended! I give them five stars for everything. I would go back to them for any future procedures.
Great experience - Doctor was very professional and informative. He answered all my questions and offered his recommendation. The staff were pleasant and polite - I would recommend this practice to my friends and family.
Everyone in the office is amazing! Dr Munasifi is kind and caring. He listens carefully to your needs. He is the only person I would trust with Botox. I go to Kelly for Clear & Brilliant treatments and for Cool Sculpting. I couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommend
I went to Dr. Munasifi for corrective surgery after a Lower Face Lift and a Direct Brow Lift by another surgeon. The previous surgery had left me with noticeable scars above my ears, each side was different to the other creating an uneven appearance and I had large scars from my Direct Brow Lift. Dr. Munasifi was very understanding of the issues I was facing and made me feel at ease with the treatment he was recommending. After my previous experience I was very anxious about being operated on again but the results made it all worth while. The improvement was immediate! I was expecting a lot of swelling and discomfort but both were very minor. I was out and about my daily routine within days. The old scars have been removed and my face is now even. I also had Fraxel laser resurfacing on my Direct Brow Lift scars which worked wonders. Those big long scars left by the previous surgeon are now fine lines and still continue to fade to the extent that they are now not noticeable. I finally got my confidence back after the skilled work of Dr. Munasifi! If you are unhappy with any previous cosmetic work and want to explore options for correction then definitely put Dr. Munasifi on your list. Its not a question of choosing a good surgeon, what you want is an excellent surgeon. I believe I found that in Dr. Munasifi. We all look back and wish we had done some things differently, mine will always be that I wish I had gone to Dr. Munasifi the first time.
Dr Talal Munasfi is absolutely as good as they get. He is a quintessential professional. His skills as a surgeon are superior and his bedside manner reflects the same. He is kind and detailed oriented and takes whatever amount of time is necessary to listen to his patients and to hear what they are trying to achieve. He is accessible to his clients and puts them first. He has exceeded my expectation with everything he has helped me with. HIs work is often written and praised and he is looked to by others as a leader in his field. He is a go-to surgeon for people in the DC area. Without reservation I recommend he and all of his services. And the women who work with him at his office and in the hospital/surgery center are also top notch and very kind and helpful First rate all the way around. Great work and great results!
I have been toying with the idea of getting a "mommy makeover" for the last 4 years, since being diagnosed with the separated muscle after failing to get rid of the "snake around my waist" left over after my fraternal twins were born. 2 years ago, at age 39, I made up my mind to do it - and had consultations with 4 well-reviewed doctors. One in Arlington, VA, one in Reston, VA and one in DC. All were "Doctor-selected Plastic Surgeons" that had higher prices and quality care.. The estimate for each was between $16K and $20K. I decided to save up, but had a hard time justifying the cost with one of the kids starting college. Turning 40 last year, and putting on weight so that my (normally size 4-6 and some smaller 8's) were getting tight - as I was between 125-130 for the first 35 years of my life... Then soared to 208 during my twin pregnancy, and haven't gotten into anything but my size 8 clothes since then. I started to not want to look in the mirror - and rarely exercised (wear does it fit with working full time AND being a mom of hyper boys!!) but when realized that I had I stopped wearing pants all together because my backside had developed its own "gravitational pull" (because it has achieved planet-sized status) I decided that I could put it off no longer. In June, I pulled out my three "wish binder" consultation notes and estimates, and selected the doctor that seemed the most kindly, had the best before/after pics, had a super sweet staff AND happens to be just a few miles from my house. (Yay!) Making arrangements to help with getting kids to and from summer camp for the first few days has been quite a chore, but otherwise it's been pretty exciting! I thought I would be a stress monkey, however reading all the stories here and looking at the awesome results has been incredibly motivating. After having my daughter 18 years ago (at 23) and breastfeeding for just over a year - I was so certain that if I stopped worrying about it my body would "bounce back" like it did before. Hasn't happened... And my desire to NOT look at the sagging remains of my breasts (that had gotten to size FF or equally ridiculous while feeding the twins) hanging down to my knees every time I took off my bra. ("Grandma? Is that you in the mirror?!?") So now my procedure is in 3 days. Will get my measurements and post some current/pre-op (and pregnancy!) pictures below: Updated on 25 Aug 2015: Wow. I confess I wasn't expecting quite this much pain - but the Doc discovered that my abdomen muscles were actually torn on two layers all the way up to above the underneath of my sternum. My breast stitches aren't hurting at *all*, which is great - but the implants under the muscles make my muscles pretty sore and using my arms (lat muscles, anyway) is pretty painful. More painful thank c-section, normal birth, or any other experience I have had, ever. That said, just the lines and the tightness and the fullness of my breasts are very exciting!! I can wait until I'm in less pain and can stand up and see the work that he did. One last thing, the staff @ capital plastic surgery (McLean, va) were FANTASTIC. My nurse, Ashley, dr. Munasifi, and even my anesthesiologist were attentive, patient, funny, and just lovely people. I could not have ASKED for better caretakers through this experience!! Updated on 27 Aug 2015: Still have a lot of pain with the sewed up abdomen and the tummy tuck. However, today the instructions said I could unwrap, clean up and put on a post-surgical bra. To recap, my deflated C's were augmented with 370 silicone implants underneath the muscle. I was VERY excited to see the results so far!! Obviously, the girls are still getting situated, but so far things are looking better than I had dared to hope.
I've had this mole my whole life and it bothered me enough to pay $330 for a plastic surgeon to remove it. I don't have very many good pictures of it close-up, but it was dark brown and definitely raised. When my hair was tied back it was very noticeable, particularly in contrast to my very fair skin. I have posted pictures of it before, after 3 months, 6 months, and now 9 months. Things to be aware of if you're considering this type of (minor) operation in a visible region like your face: 1) there were bright blue stitches for a little over a week. i have no idea if this is always how mole removal is done, but i definitely had be creative with my hair to cover it up! 2) yes, it scars and takes a while to go away. i have been applying Retin-A every night to it for the past month or two, and as you can see in the pictures, it's almost completely invisible! **remember sun exposure worsens and darkens scars** If you have a mole on your face that you really hate it is definitely worth it to get it removed! Just be aware that it will not look good immediately after and will take a while to heal and fade. After that, you can just forget it was ever there!
I have breastfed three kids and am hoping to go from a 32 b to a smallish c. Doc recommended silicone under the muscle. I am going in Thursday for sizing and final pre-op. Hoping for a very natural look, likely 300 ccs or less. I am very athletic/bony chested and I fear the Tori Spelling boobed look! would love any advice or tips. I also have no idea what to tell my 9 year old daughter, HELP! I also have a seven year old son and 4 year old daughter. I am seeing Dr. Munasifi at Advanced PS Center (Virginia Hospital Center). What can I expect for recovery time and Updated on 28 Oct 2016: I am almost 39 with no family history or breast cancer risk factors. During BA prep, I had a mammogram which showed a calcification group I had biopsied and came back benign (thank god). In thinking about the BA surgery, can anyone speak to how the implants might affect future imaging for dense breasts with lots of calcifications? I was told I don't need another mammogram till age 40. I am unsure of what to do about the BA now. This entire process has been terrifying. Thank you Updated on 9 Dec 2016: Surgery is Monday 12/12! Help me decide!! Updated on 12 Dec 2016: Went so well! I went with the 286 under the muscle. I have pressure but it is a lot less than I expected! The Vicodin and Valium have been helpful! I have 286 under the muscle Updated on 1 Feb 2017: Updated on 8 Feb 2017: Updated on 2 Nov 2017: So glad I went small, I have 286 and nobody knows! If you are small and want to stay looking slim I wold say err on the smaller side. I am now a 32 d from a b before. Still no sensation under areola to incision area but I don’t care. It’s pretty common to have that side effect. Good luck and especially to the fit moms who just want their old boobs back!
After a week, most people can see family and friends and look fine with some bruising. After two weeks, patients can go out in public and return to work with make-up to cover minor bruises.
You must trust the surgeon who operates on you and look at multiple before and after photos. Dr. Orfaniotis is right in that surgeons call the same thing differently. Both procedures work well in the right hands. Discard the selling or marketing wording and look at the results. We go through periods where everyone talks about a short scar lift, S lift, lifestyle lift, etc. when all you need is a good, experienced surgeon. Results matter!
While lasers can be performed at the time of a facelift, it is better to do them separatelyunless you are performing a lighter peel or laser treatment. By definition, a lift means the skin has been lifted from the deeper tissue. This results in less blood flow to the skin. Proper deep laser treatment to remove wrinkles and pigmentation needs good blood flow to heal well. If, let us say a Fractional CO2 laser treatment (gold standard for laser resurfacing) one will hesitate to go deep enough as you are concerned about healing. It is safer, better, and more effective to stage it. Laser down time is a week. The final results are what matters. A mild peel is ok.
You can still have a lift; however, it will be a bit harder to perform the surgery, but it is a common procedure that I do. Secondary lifts are easy in the right hands. While Sculptra, and previous mini lift and previous ultrasound or radiofrequency treatments do alter the tissue and can affect elasticity, you still will have a great result!
A proper Deep Plane is enough to lift the mid face. If you happen to have had a Deep Plane lift that did not give you the result that you expected, you should wait 12-18 months. If you go back early the tissue will not be flexible enough to lift, the surgeon will not see the anatomy well, and you will risk nerve injury.
