There is one doctor in Toronto that specifically does not offer Juvederm as it apparently can cause greater swelling. Just wondering if this is the only disadvantage and whether one is "better" than the other in terms of how long it lasts, how many units required, applicability for under eye use.
Answer: What are the pros and cons of restalyne vs juvederm? Thank you very much. I think it's true about Juvederm creating a chronic swelling appearance which I like to see on lips (serious pout). Restylane does not create the swelling and is best used in the tear trough and lips as well when they want a more natural result.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)

Answer: Under eye filler Juvederm is hydrophilic - meaning it likes to absorb water. Its part of the reason that makes it so good in the lips when you are trying to get that soft, plump look. Restylane also absorbs water to a certain extent, however, it is not nearly as hydrophilic as juvederm. I, personally, don't like to use juvederm under the eyes for that reason. Restylane or blotter work much better. Under the eyes you can get a year to a year and a half easily with restylane. The key is in slowly building the filler. This is overly simplified and there are exceptions to the rule - volbella, for example. That being said, this is a good starting point as far as basic understanding of the science behind each particular filler. Hope this helps.

Answer: Restylane vs Juvederm Thank you for your question. Depending on your personal goals both fillers are great. However, since you’re looking to correct the under-eye area I would recommend using Restylane. Restylane is created with very small granules of hyaluronic acid, which has a gel-like consistency. The granular texture is intended to improve the longevity of results, and it also used to treat tear troughs. For more information, I recommend getting a in person consultation with board-certified dermatologist.

Answer: Pros and cons of Restylane vs Juvederm Hello and thanks so much for your question...it's a good one!! Some injectors prefer certain products in particular areas of the face. It's simply injector preference in most cases. Having said that, there are a small group of products that are specifically designed for areas such as under eyes. Be sure to have a product such as Restylane fine lines or Redensity placed under the eyes. Good luck!!

Answer: Juvederm vs Restylane They are essentially the same. Juvederm is slightly more concentrated but not significant. it is really a matter of what the doctor is familiar with. sort of like Bayer aspirin and st Joseph aspirin
