7 months post FUE HT. Are my nerves damaged permanently?

It is unlikely that your nerves are permanently damaged. If you are having any chronic pain or lack of sensation, follow up with your surgeon.

Permanent nerve damage is uncommon after FUE transplant. It can take up to a year for nerves to heal and settle down. I would give it this time. If you're having chronic or worsening pain then you could consider some other medications or intervention but that would be very uncommon. 

Thank you for posting this question. With an FUE procedure it's actually quite uncommon for permanent numbness of the scalp. However, with large extractions, like a 3,000 graft case, sometimes this can occur. Nerve regrowth can take a long time, so I would give it a full 12 months before taking further action such as visiting a neurologist. It can take up to a year (in cases longer) for sensation to return to normal after a hair transplant.  If things are better than they were a few months ago you will likely continue to improve
