After FUE procedure, when is it safe to comb hair with some anticipated incidental contact between comb and scalp?

I am 15 days removed from last FUE procedure and I'd like to start combing my hair but I'm trying to be careful around graft sites; Obviously I'm not going to drag the comb across my scalp or scratch my scalp but I'd like to run the comb through my hair and style it and not just use it to tease up and out the longest hairs; Am I at a safe point or should I wait longer - procedure went well things are healing up OK Thank you!

It is best to contact your surgeon for post surgery issues and care since all doctors have slightly different instructions.

Hello, Thank you for your question. Once all the scabs will be gone, usually takes 10-14 days,  you can comb your hair, but be gentle.

Hi, How are you? As long as the scabs have all fallen off you are very welcome to brush through your hair at the 2 week mark. You should be safe now. However, If their are scabs that are left over be more aggressive with the hair washes to get them off and then you are able to comb through with no problem.

At 15 days without crusting or scabbing present, you can comfortably comb your hair now without worry. Be gentle!
