Thank you very much for your question. Inmany cases, it is certainly possible to have fibroid tumors removed during abreast augmentation procedure. However, this will depend on your individualsituation and your operating surgeon’s personal protocols. I suggest speakingwith your plastic surgeon about the potential to have your fibroids removedduring your upcoming BA. If it is possible, he/she will connect with anyadditional surgeons to coordinate the procedure.
Thank you for your question. It is possible to have both procedures performed during the same anesthesia period. I would recommend speaking with both surgeons to see if they can coordinate their schedules to accommodate your request. Best of luck.
It is possible to combine breast augmentation surgery with fibroid surgery as long as both surgeons agree and are able to chose a surgical facility at which they both have privileges and a date they are both available.
It is possible to do both on the same day. Speak with both doctors to be sure they are comfortable in proceeding with both and so that they can coordinate your surgeries.
It is absolutely ok. You would just need to be sure to coordinate your GYN and plastic surgeon, assuring that they operate in the same place.
Yes it is possible. It really depends on your GYN surgeon and the location of the surgery. If you live in D.C., you must be certain that the hospital or surgery center has a special cosmetic surgery fee schedule which will help reduce your costs for the cosmetic breast augmentation. Obviously, both surgeons must have operating privileges at the same facility.
Simple answer is yes, you can have your fibroids removed at the same time as a breast augmentation. You would simply need to coordinate your surgeons so that both procedures could be done on the same day and at the same facility. Best wishes.
Yes, it is possible. However, there is a possibility that bacteria could enter the bloodstream (bacteremia) during the surgery as it can with other procedures. For example, it is well-known that during dental work, bacteremia can occur. Patients often do not have any symptoms or feel any differently when experiencing bacteremia, but as the fibroids are removed, bacteria could alight on the breast implants during their placement and cause complications. I would be open to discussing this with my Gynecological colleagues. What I would learn from them regarding their technique in removing the fibroids would allow me to determine whether it would be wise or unwise to perform both surgeries in combination.
Combined surgeries are commonly performed. Your plastic surgeon and ob-gyn just need to coordinate dates/times. There are some increased risks of mixing certain types of cases, this should definitely be addressed in your consultation.
Yes, this could be done at the same time, but may require two surgeons. In this case you should ask your plastic surgeon if there is anyone they work with, of if they could refer you. The less times you have to go under anesthesia the better. Best of luck!
Absorbable sutures are broken down and removed by the body by creating inflammation. In some areas this reaction can be so reactive that it creates a localized area of swelling, tenderness and pus formation. This usually goes away when the foreign body (suture material) is diminished or removed....
Hello and thank you for your question. Many people will fly in from other states and have surgeries. I agree with you regarding being close to your Dr. if anything goes wrong, however, if you can stay in Miami for several days, ideally until the first post op visit, you will be better off. ...
Thank you for your question. Between 3 -5kg weight loss is unlikely to affect the results of your breast augmentation. Any significant weight changes or fluctuations does have the potential to cause changes to the breasts and affect your results.
