Hey dolls, I am so happy to share my journey here! I have been considering a BBL for few years now. I recently scheduled my surgery and I am on the countdown: gonna have a brand new bootay for the new year and I’m getting it exactly 1 week before my 45th birthday! I’m having fat transferred from my arms, back, top of hips, and flanks. I’ll post “before” pics closer to the date but, for now, here are my wish pics. Also, I’m 5’5” tall and around 180...lots of hips/thighs, but need more volume/projection in the rear. My doc is gonna make it happen, no doubt! ???? Updated on 4 Dec 2017: I’ve attached some before pics—flat as a pancake! The ones where I’m wearing a green shirt were taken before I started a 3-month butt workout. The ones of me in a blue shirt are the results. Mind you, I put in work, never missed a workout, and followed it to the letter. Even though I got much stronger and lifted the bottom a bit, there was NO change in the middle/top of my butt. I am so excited to finally have some booty! I’m hoping my doc can transfer a pretty significant amount of fat. Anybody else having a BBL and around my size? I’m 5’5” and around 185lbs. I work out 4-5 days a week and do pretty heavy lifting. Updated on 10 Jan 2018: Hey fellow booty dreamers! I finally go for my pre-op appointment tomorrow and I am more than ready! I'm hoping all goes well and smooth---wish me luck and I'll update again soon! Updated on 11 Jan 2018: It was so great meeting with Dr. Alspaugh today and going over what to expect. He also showed me exactly which areas are going to be harvested and answered all my questions. I had my blood work and am going to be fitted for my garment soon. The next update will be post-surgery...can’t wait to post those after pics! Updated on 18 Feb 2018: I am 16 days post-op and feel fantastic! Here are my before/after pics. I took the afters at exactly 2 week’s post-op. I am still swollen, obviously, but I’m loving the new curves!! Updated on 19 Apr 2019: Hey ladies, I have my Round 2 scheduled, but I’m back & forth about it. My profile pic shows me before I started my diet clean-up, so I’m a bit leaner now. Here’s the only pic I could get to post....my iPad is not cooperating at all!

I am a 31 year old woman who has had 3 pregnancies and all via c- section. Leaving me with extra hanging skin. I researched doctors in the DR came across Dr. Yily de les santos. I was charged $5600 for my procedure including my recovery house stay. I had no consult with hercprior surgery. The day of surgery I met Dr. Yilly for the first time she never asked me what my expectations of this surgery were. She did not have anyone to translate. She marked me up and I had the surgery. A week out post op I developed a serious case of seroma when I returned home it persisted developing a capsule under my skin causing a bulge making me look as if I were pregnant. I was emotionally devestated and I would not advise anyone to go to Dr. Yily for any cosmetic procedure. I am not naturally large but I wanted a more sexier appearance. I am done having children and this tummy tuck is motivation to get my sexy back and first step to the new me.I initially went to the Dominican Republic and had my tummy tuck procedure with Dr. Yily de les santos who botched my tummy tuck and left me with a deformity. I then researched the doctors in the United States and my local area Dr. Alspaugh is the best and he left me with a beautiful result. The staff is excellent, and they are compassionate to the needs of their patients. Its only been 3 weeks post I have much swelling but once the swelling subsides my results and shape will improve. Updated on 22 Jan 2017: 2 months post op! Be mindful to drink plenty of water and eat healthy. Waist train ladies to train you waist and to help with reducing swelling. I still swell here and there but every week its gets better and you see your results improve more every month.
47yr old Mom&Grandma I finally got serious & lost 68lbs by eating clean & working out. I had a belly flab I hated & couldn't get rid of! My breasts also went from D's to flat C's from weight loss. I had a lift w/420cc/undr muscle (mod plus) lollipop incision,lipo-hips,Muscle repair, TummyT Updated on 20 Oct 2016: I'm updating the bikini pics, I don't know why it didn't show all the pic when I uploaded. I didn't know it at the time but I have a seroma on the right side that got aspirated (100cc's) that week. I'm going back again tomorrow (5wks) for another aspiration. These were also taken in the evening when I had more swelling and felt terrible but decided to take pics anyway and it lifted My spirits when I saw how I looked. Updated on 20 Oct 2016:
Before I had kids I was a small C. After breastfeeding both kids until they were a year old, I was less than an A. I knew I always wanted a breast augmentation, but wanted to wait until I was finished having kids. Once my youngest was two, I began speaking to plastic surgeons about a breast augmentation. I chose Dr. Alspaugh because of his attention to personal detail and availability when I had questions or concerns. I’m so glad I made the decision to use him because the experience and results couldn’t have been better. Dr. Alspaugh took the time speak to both me and my husband about the procedure and answer any questions and concerns we had. He went into surprising detail about the choices in implants and the long-term pros and cons of each type of implant. Dr. Alspaugh asked about my life, how many kids I had, if I was going to have more children, what I did for a living. I felt like he was really trying to get to know who I was. He also took the time to ask me what I wanted and what I didn’t want. I’m a professional that works with mostly men, and while I was caught up in the idea looking good in a tight shirt on the weekend, he mentioned that I might want to consider the image I wanted to present during the week. This was something I hadn’t considered before, but I’m so glad that he brought it up. While we were talking about the best procedure for me, I asked about my outer thighs. I had been running for several months during my lunch hour and had lost a decent amount of weight, but still had “saddle bags”. He commented that my legs were very toned, but that the fat on my outer legs could be taken care of with liposuction and that I was a great candidate for it if I wanted to have that procedure as well. Of course, I did. I had so much fun trying on implants with the nurse, Cheryl. She was very helpful and even offered to find a different shirt for me to use while trying on the implants (I went to the consult in a really loose fitting sleeveless shirt, that was cool for the summer heat, but most of the implants looked similar in size!). When I thought I had the size narrowed down to 3 choices, I asked if I could come back to try them on again with my work uniform shirt. They acted like it was no big deal for me to come back to try on the implants again. I wasn’t planning on telling anyone at work that I was going to have the breast augmentation, so I began to agonize over the size. I didn’t want to go through the entire process to go too small, but I didn’t want to look like I had an obvious massive augmentation either. I called his office and spoke to his patient coordinator, Grace and told her about my concerns on choosing the correct size. She offered her advice, but said she would pass my questions on to Dr. Alspaugh. He called me later that day! We spoke for several minutes and he didn’t hang up until I assured him he had answered all of my questions. The day of the surgery went so smooth. I was nervous about the anesthesia, but I took the anti-nausea medication before and I feel like it went well. I also got the Exparel and it was totally worth it. That night, I felt more pain from the liposuction in my legs than from the breast aug. The legs felt like a moderate to bad sunburn, so not that much pain. My chest had minimal pain (thank you Exparel!). I went back for my post-op and everything looked great. Dr. Alspaugh told me everything looked fine and that I should take it easy and not pick up my 2-year-old for about 6 weeks, but to listen to my body for other limitations. It’s been about a year and I love the results. As far as I know, no one at work knows I had an augmentation. I’m 5’9”, 150 lbs., with fairly broad shoulders so I went with 450 cc silicone gel implants. I looked awesome in a bathing suit this summer and my clothes seem to fit me so much better. I didn’t need to get any new clothes like I thought I might. The size clothes I wore before to fit my shoulders and be the correct length were apparently cut for someone with a chest the size that I have now! So when I told Dr. Alspaugh that I wanted to look a “little better than natural”, I’d say he helped me make the right decision and achieve that look. My legs look great. That was almost instant gratification. There was of course bruising for several weeks, but the shape was wonderful almost instantly. I could see the final results of the liposuction much earlier than the breast augmentation. I’d say the final look of my breasts was evident between 6 to 8 months post-op. The staff was great and always made sure I was comfortable with my choices and how I was feeling. Dr. Alspaugh was very caring and available before and after the procedure. I highly recommend and trust him.
Hi! I have been to several consultations over the last 10 years. When I went to Dr. Alspaugh I immediately knew he was the surgeon to do my BA surgery. He is kind and thorough. I didn't feel rushed when speaking with him. Also, his nursing staff is very helpful. Right after meeting with Dr. Alspaugh I put down the deposit and scheduled my surgery. I am beyond excited! I plan to get saline implants on 1/26/17! Updated on 28 Sep 2016: I'm 5'4" around 130lbs....now debating silicon v saline. Here are some wish pics! Updated on 3 Jan 2017: I go in for my pre-op appt Jan 10th! So excited! Still need to decide on the profile and size. I'm thinking between 300-375cc! Ah! I also decided on lip injections while I'm under, why not??! :) Updated on 10 Jan 2017: I met with my Dr today. Will be getting 350cc HP! 2 more weeks to go! Here are pictures of me with the sizers... Updated on 21 Jan 2017: I have got my "boob box" ready for post surgery.... -V pillow -Extra pillows for bed -Meds: a Norco, Tylenol, Phenergen, Celebrex and OTC stool softener and Benadryl -Bromelain and Arnica pills online for bruising -Heat and Cold packs -Front snap bras in various sizes from Amazon -Hibiclens surgical cleaner for night before surgery -silicon scar sheets Also I went to the grocery and picked up yogurts, soups, crackers, Gatorade and ginger ale. It's almost time! I'm ready for Jan 26 to get here! :) Updated on 25 Jan 2017: Got all of my supplies ready! The house is cleaned. My husband has taken off work. I'll be out of work for 9 days, which is good because I'm an ER nurse! I think I'm ready ;) I'm have to be at the surgery center at 12:15p tomorrow! See y'all after surgery! Updated on 27 Jan 2017: It's finally over! Yippie! Yesterday I got to the surgery center at 12p (both starving, thirsty and sleepy). I worked at night shift 7p-7a the night before surgery. Anywho, the doctor came in, I talked to my nurse (who also does my Botox - love her) and we were off. Everyone was super kind and reassuring. In recovery I woke up actually feeling pretty refreshed. The pain was there but pretty tolerable. They have me two doses of pain meds and ginger ale and we were on our way. The car ride home was only 25 minutes but my nausea took over. I vomited once on the ride home as we were dropping off an addition anti-nausea prescription (irony). Once we got home 1 vomited once as we walked in the door, but felt better afterward. I haven't had anymore vomiting episodes. The pain and been touch and go. Never horrific but no great. I've stayed on top of pain meds, napping and using ice packs. Literally the hardest thing is the fact you can't open your pill bottles! It seems crazy, but it's amazing how much you don't realize you use the chest muscles on a day to day! (Thank God for my "nurse" husband) I finally took a peak at my new boobs this morning and so far I'm really happy with the size! Look forward to seeing them in ten coming weeks! Also, the V shaped pillow I bought on Amazon is a HUGE life saver. Seriously, go get one if you're having a BA! It allowed me to rest with minimal discomfort! So recap, I'm 130lbs, 5'4'' and received Natrelle Classic round implants in 375cc on the sides. Hoping to achieve a large C or small D. Pain and been tolerable. Dr Alspaugh and his staff are amazing!!! I'll be going to my first post opp appointment today at 12p. Looking forward to a shower tomorrow! I might try to post pictures today or tomorrow if I'm feeling brave :) Updated on 27 Jan 2017: My left side is super high! Can't wait for home to drop and look less like monster boobs! Anyone feel like there boobs shrank a little after swelling goes down?? I hope so! Updated on 28 Jan 2017: I took a shower this morning and it was life changing! Felt human again. The pain is very minimal. I mostly feel pressure and tightness. I did take one Norco this morning, but think I am switch over to just Tylenol. During my meeting with my Doc and nurse yesterday they said I could start doing the obligatory breast massage. Might try that tomorrow. My breasts are still very high, worse on the Left. I was terribly worried about them being too big, but I think the 375cc was perfect! The doc seems to think I'll be a full C from a A. We shall see... Oh and the bloat everyone talks about is real and bad! Ah! At least I'm not alone! I am going to try to take an easy today and perhaps venture out of the house tomorrow. Happy healing real selfers! Updated on 30 Jan 2017: I'm feeling pretty good today. I drove to meet my husband for lunch without incident. I haven't faced these spoken about "boobie blues" yet, and doubt I will. The only thing I can say with regards to that is I AM ready to a- feel totally normal again and B- work out again. I am in no pain, just an extreme amount of tightness. The tight feeling is the worst part of this whole adventure. With regards to size, my biggest (no pun intended) concern was they would be too big. I like to go to barre class and yoga, and huge breasts might hinder that routine. Today I found myself thinking I should have upped the ante and gone slightly bigger, but I will re-evaluate this line of thinking once they settle. Overall I'm very, VERY happy I went through with this procedure. A week or so before my procedure date I caught myself thinking "what on Earth have I gotten myself into??". No regrets now, however. I am also really glad I chose the doctor I did. Really though, go see him. He is awesome. High five to Dr. Alspaugh and his team. :) Updated on 4 Feb 2017: No real new update.....no actual pain, just high and tight still, sore perhaps. The left side is less irritating, like it was days previously. It is still hard to sleep at night. I can't seem to find a really comfortable position to sleep in yet. I also wake up with super sore and tight breasts. Otherwise things have been going pretty smoothly. In regards to size, I'm glad I didn't go bigger or smaller. Any bigger would have been too much! Updated on 6 Feb 2017: So, I went back to work 2 nights ago (night nurse life). It went well, but I was pretty sore. I get little zaps of sharp discomfort, but nothing intolerable. I saw my surgeon today for a follow-up. He stated everything looked good, just need to wait for these bad boys to calm down and settle. They are still very high. The good news is they get a little softer every day. The only other thing to report on is I had put waterproof band aids over the steri-strips while I was at work and it caused a rash. Guess I'm allergic to adhesive. Not the end of the world. Still happy about getting surgery. Will post new pics in days to come! Happy healing ladies! :) Updated on 7 Feb 2017: Here's a photo update. I also got a card from my surgeon's office, which is nice. :)
After having two babies and breastfeeding each for a year, I had nothing left. I barely filled up an A cup. So after trying on different sizers, I chose 325cc's...which meant 375cc's going under the muscle. Round, smooth, high profile gel. I had a really easy time after my surgery. The pain was more soreness/discomfort and was very manageable. I had my surgery on Monday and was back to work on Thursday. I am now about 2.5 months post surgery. I am still hoping for a little more dropping but other than that, I couldn't be any more pleased with my result. It's absolutely worth it. I believe I am going to be a 36C or 34D, depending on how I measure.
In blepharoplasty surgery, attention has to be paid to avoiding removal of so much eyelid skin such that eyelid closure is incomplete. Further eyelid closure with or without a longer scar may not be appropriate. Brow lifting would probably be helpful and possible even fillers. Make an appointment with a board certified Plastic or Oculoplastic Surgeon to discuss options.
Losing weight is always a good idea. Liposuction is more about shape than just weight or size. This may not apply to you but there are limits to how much fat you should remove at one time as an outpatient. By losing weight, you may allow for a more complete result.
Both procedures will offer you significant improvement. You will be happier each way. If the vertical scar will not bother you, the flier de lis can remove skin in the transverse as well as the vertical dimension. You just have to decide if the vertical scar is acceptable. Most of my patients choose to avoid the scar.
Thank you for your question. As you have noticed, liposuction is a great tool to remove unwanted fat, but if a patient has loose skin there is likely to be sagging. Without knowing your medical history I can’t give you too much advice, though many women who have had children find that they face the same challenges you do… loose skin and the look of fullness even when there is little fat present. Sagging skin and abdominal roundness (often due to muscle separation called diastasis recti) really can only be addressed through a tummy tuck with muscle plication. The best thing you can do is schedule an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. He or she will be able to evaluate you to determine what procedure or combination of procedures will best suit your individual needs.
Thank you for your question. At only 15 days post-op, you still very early on in recovery. Over the next few weeks to months, your implants will settle into the breast pocket (this is the “drop and fluff” that many people refer to) and will not appear so high on the chest. The best thing you can do is be patient, follow your surgeon’s postop instructions, and be sure to contact him or her should you have any concerns. Best of luck!
