Will I benefit from Chin Liposuction? (photos)

Chin liposuction helps reduce the bulge under the chin and can be done for the whole neck. Once the fat is removed the skin can become loose and saggy in some cases. It can be avoided by combining it with Thermitight which is a radiofrequency heat delivered under the skin to tighten it. Both chin liposuction and Thermitight can be done at the same time. The recovery is fast and it can be done under local anesthesia.

I generally perform jawline liposuction in every case where I am performing chin liposuction. The subcutaneous fat is continuous and therefore it is beneficial to do simultaneously.

​I find that VASER liposuction in combination with Renuvion or ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates, but Kybella can be used as an alternative and gets better results when combined with Thermage/Ultherapy/Exilis, TruSculpt iD, or Coolsculpting. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from chin liposuction. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

It's probably best to lose the 15 pounds first. and Then reevaluate the Need for liposuction in your neck.

You do appear to be a candidate for chin liposuction if this is an area that bothers you. You can add to the results of your procedure with Morpheus8 treatments to improve skin tone and texture. You may want to postpone the procedure until you have reached your goal weight in order to maximize your results.

You can first try chin lipo if not satisfied with results then consider mini neck lift with SMAS plication. Or just do both chin lipo w mini neck lifting.

Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results it’s more difficult than most people believe it. For that reason patients should select providers very carefully based on skill and experience.

The procedure is permanent and irreversible. If done poorly it can lead to disfigurement.

The shape of your lower third of the face and neck is mostly determined by bone structure and typical signs of middle-age.

It does not look like you have a primary issue with excessive fat in the area though well done Liposuction and those who have substantial amounts of fat typically give good improvements.

To me it doesn’t look like you have that much fat and the problems are more related to laxity of platysma muscle, loss of skin elasticities due to age and somewhat related to bone structure shape and contour.

Before committing just something that permanently changes your face make sure your provider is an experience to talented board certified plastic surgeon who has a proven track record of doing lots of these procedures. I recommend insisting patients request to see all before and after pictures not just a sample two or three before committing to any liposuction procedure. And experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sets up before and after pictures.

When in doubt slow down and have consultations with other providers so you can do a little comparison and find the most talented and skilled provider. In your case you should also get an accurate assessment that discusses all tissue layers involved and all treatment options.
