I just went in for an IPL and they did a pre op for chin liposuction next Friday. I thought they were doing my jawline a bit but it turns out it's just under the chin directly. I've recently lost some weight and am still working on about 15 lbs more. Now I'm wondering if lll see enough of a difference to be worth just under the chin. What do you think? I'm 44 years old. Face is red and blotchy because I just finished my IPL. Face is still numb too.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are having with pinched nerves. This would not be related to liposuction of the neck or chin. During liposuction the fat is removed from just beneath the skin of the area treated. The surgeon would not be near your spine during the procedure.
