Not sure if I am a good candidate for chin liposuction since I have a rather small amount of stubborn fat under my chin. Should I consider coolsculpting or sculpsure instead? I am scared about the risks of coolsculpting (developing PAH), and I also want something that will work/get rid of this fat forever. Please provide some suggestions that will work! I am within my ideal weight and 21, I have already gotten chin filler to address my recessed chin as well.
Answer: A non-invasive option for you would be to do Morpheus8 treatments. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: How to treat a double chin: Know all your treatment options Hello, and thank you for your question. Those who are in excellent health and have diet-resistant fat can be good candidates for chin liposuction. It is also safe to have chin liposuction after fillers. Chin fillers are typically placed above the level of the jaw and would not be affected by the liposuction procedure. Another treatment option to consider would be Kybella –an injectable medication that has been approved for the treatment of submental fullness that leads to a double chin. Kybella essentially dissolves fat cells by interrupting their cellular membranes, and the treated cells are gradually absorbed by the body, allowing the skin to contract and create a slimmer neck and jawline. The best way to determine the appropriate procedure for you would be to schedule a consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon. Your surgeon can evaluate your skin and facial profile, recommend the best procedure(s), and ensure the best possible results.

Answer: Chin Contouring with VASER, ThermiRF, Coolsculpting, Kybella, Thermage, Ultherapy, Exilis, J plasma/Renuvion/Inmode BodyTite I find that VASER liposuction in combination with Renuvion or ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates, but Kybella can be used as an alternative and gets better results when combined with Thermage/Ultherapy/Exilis, TruSculpt iD, or Coolsculpting. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Chin liposuction Dear Witty166919, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you would benefit from chin liposuction. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
