Liposuction Alone vs BBL? (photos)

Question

Hi! I'm 5'8, 150ish lbs, no kids 18-24 years old. The only time my stomach is at my ideal size is when I'm very skinny and then I don't enjoy how the rest of my body looks. I eat 90% clean and weight lift regularly so please don't suggest that. I want nice hourglass proportions and the size of my butt isn't really a big issue..would I be better off getting a BBL or just lipo to abs+back+flanks. Price wise what really is the difference? Thank you!

Thank you for your question and photos. Liposuction alone can be done, but you will not even get close to your posted wish pictures. A BBL cannot be done without liposuction, since by definition, a Brazilian Butt Lift is shaping and enlargement of the buttocks with fat transfer which is obtained by liposuction. The abdominal wish photo views, show a nice Champagne line (depression in the upper abdominal midline) and semilunar lines (definition between the oblique muscles as they join the lateral rectus muscle), thus creating a youthful, sexy abdomen. I use the VASER Hi Def Lipo 360 technique to achieve this muscle revealing results. The whole back needs to be liposuctioned as well, including the upper back, lateral chest wall, waist, hips and lower back fat pad to give you the curves you posted in your wish photos. To get close to the definition of the waist in the wish pictures, the VASER technique allows sculpting down to the muscle fascia (tough tissue enveloping the muscles). See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation.You have to make a decision about lipo only of the abdomen, back, hips (cheaper) as opposed to the VASER sculpting (more expensive, but has high added value! as the wish photos show). This is really up to you.  Liposuction can result in dramatic improvement, but fat transfer can be used to improve shape and proportion instead of just making the buttocks appear larger.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

You have posted photos of women who are very, very thin. Your buttocks size and shape is quite good for your body dimensions. Good liposuction of your hip rolls, lower back, abdomen, and thighs would help you meet your goals. This would help define and enhance your buttocks. Minimal fat transfer to your buttocks for some shape improvement would be helpful, but you probably don't want a major volume increase (the women in the posted photos have fairly small, but well defined, buttocks). In person consultation is best to answer these questions in detail.

I'm guessing the plastic surgeons who respond to your questions will unanimously agree that your results will be better if you include the BBL.
The women in your wish pictures I have a musculoskeletal structure that it's different than yours.
Because of this it's not possible for you to have an a waist as thin as theirs.
That's not to say you can't have a nice improvement from well-done liposuction but you need to set your expectations correctly.
Do you have a normal and very attractive body.
The women in the pictures you've shown have an abnormal bodies.
Very few women have such extreme thin waists regardless of fat distribution.
The women in your Waze pictures also have a very low BMI is.
With liposuction you can have the same abdominal fat content and muscle definition but not body contouring.
I suggest you move forward with liposuction asked described and include the BBL if that something you desire.
In regards to your figure it would be icing on the cake and hyper feminize you.
Adding the Brazilian will add approximately $5000 to the cost of the procedure though as you know prices vary substantially.
Something to keep in mind is that liposuction without the BBL well forever exclude the ability to have a BBL in the future because you will most likely not have sufficient amount of fat in other areas for a BBL after liposuction.
Consult with several board-certified plastic surgeon's will have particular expertise in Brazilians.

Based on the photographs and wish picks, consider a tummy tuck, liposuction, and BBL. Otherwise, you will not be able to obtain the waistline and curves of the wish picks will not be obtainable.

Thank you for your question and photographs. I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to have a physical evaluation done to see if you are a good candidate. Based on your photographs, you would see improvements in your body contour from a BBL. The fat for a BBL can be harvested from multiple areas on your body and injected into the buttocks to build it up and give you a curvier silhouette. Sometimes, this procedure needs to be staged to achieve your cosmetic goals because injecting too much fat at once can increase the chance of more fat cells not surviving. When I perform a BBL, I will evaluate the patient’s body to make sure that they are a good candidate for the Brazilian butt lift. It will also be assessed as to which areas will be liposuctioned. Depending on the amount of fat necessary to fill the buttocks/hip area, multiple donor sites on the body may be considered. After liposuction has been performed, a closed sterile system is used which ensures the fat tissue is never exposed to the air. This keeps it safe and purified for reinjection into the buttocks. Our plastic surgery office uses P188, a triple-wash antibiotic that sterilizes the tissue and separates the healthy fat from any tissue that may not survive the transfer process. I will then reinject the fat to make sure that the layering is done properly, effectively and that the results are smooth and shapely.
