Thank you for your question.  It is very common to transfer fat from the abdomen to the buttock.  The healing time is about 2 weeks but vaires from patient to patient.  It is important to stay off of your buttock for about 3 weeks after surgery.  Laying on your side or stomach and sitting on a donut is what I recommend.  Make sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon for an in person consultation to get all of your questions answered and to get an exam as well.Best of luck,Dr. Hisham Seify
