Does Vampire Facial work for acne?

Hello, thank you for your question. A Vampire Facial is not recommended for patients who have active acne. A Vampire Facial is a nonsurgical treatment option that is recommended for patients who are seeking to treat acne scars, hyperpigmentation, uneven/dull skin tone, and fine lines.

Microneedling over active acne can potentially be harmful and cause hyperpigmentation so I would be very cautious with using this treatment at home. However, microneedling with CBD is actually excellent for active acne because it interacts with our body's natural endocannibinoid system to inhibit acne producing cells and reduce inflammation. I have formulated a medical grade CBD that is pure and has gone through extensive testing so as to not cause added irritation to your skin. If you decide to go this route it is very important that you research the ingredients and the type of testing that the CBD you use has undergone. I would recommend a series of 3 microneedling with CBD treatments to get your skin to an optimal place. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple in office consultations with board certified experts to discuss your ideal aesthetic goals. Thank you for your question in regards to “vampire facial” treatment, also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) facial. This treatment uses platelets from a patient's blood  and are microneedled into the skin. Microneedling PRP into the skin can promote tissue regeneration and increased collagen production minimizing the appearance of pore size, fine lines and wrinkles while improving the overall tone and texture of your skin. With that being said, it is not recommended to treat on active acne as it can cause irritation and lead to more break outs. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Yes, it will help however - acne requires a combination method approach to get long-term improvement. I recommend a combination of Cosmelan, salt facials, peels, lasers, microneedling with PRP (Vampire Facial), blue light, radiofrequency and isotretinoin.
