Do you use numbing cream for Vampire Facial and PRP with ACell and what is the price? Can you do both at the same visit?

The doctor who performed the PRP with ACell on me told me a certain amount, but when I went in to have the procedure done tried to up the price. I told him I could only afford what he told me. The two reasons I have not gone back to him is 1) the pain was like torture - he did not use numbing cream and 2) trying to raise the price from what he had quoted me. So do you use numbing cream for both Vampire Facial and PRP on the scalp with ACell? And what are the prices you charge?

We always use numbing cream before RF Microneedling with the vampire face lift. . After the radiofrequency Microneedling we place your PRP topically, we don’t inject it into your face. The Microneedling opens up your skin pores and allows absorption of PRP or ACell or both. By using EMLA, (lidocaine cream) 45 minutes prior to the procedure we can use greater depths and higher power with less discomfort, therefore improving the result. RF Microneedling using the INTRAcell device average price is $1000. PRP is $500.

Absolutely! We use a prescription strength compounded numbing cream as well as offer ProNox if needed for the procedure. Vampire Facials, Vampire Face Lifts, and Microneedling by itself can be quite uncomfortable. Our patients are also given an accurate quote upfront for any procedure that is done in our office.

Dear L.A.Blonde:Microneedling with PRP has been called (perhaps unfortunately) the “Vampire Facial” because PRP which is carefully isolated from your own blood is placed on your skin and microneedled into the skin. When the PRP is injected into the skin, some have called the procedure the #VampireFacelift. PRP stimulates your skin cells to increase the production of all of the various connective tissue proteins, including collagen and elastic fibers, calls stem cells from the circulation to the skin which then differentiate into fresher and young skin cells, and redistributes pigment, thereby improving acne scarring, surgical and traumatic scars, stretch marks, fine lines and deeper wrinkles, skin tone, prominent pores, melasma, and brown spots. Hair loss is reversed via an increase in new and active hair follicles.We use a potent topical anesthetic, and patients find the procedure to be quite comfortable. The skin can look somewhat red and depending upon the condition being treated, can look mildly abrade for one to 3 days. The procedure is repeated every 4 weeks for approximately four treatments and the skin (or hair loss) continues to improve for 3 to 6 months afterward.The cost starts at $450 and increases when larger amounts of PRP are required and when a patient needs injections of PRP as well as Microneedling. Patients are thrilled with their results. Yes, we use a 20/8/8 BLT anaesthetic cream on the entire face ad we frequently will do a dental block with local anesthesia making the procedure extremely comfortable
