Dr. Hung William Song is a physician practicing in Oakland, New Jersey. Hi my name is Kim I am 50 years young. I am very active and have a physically demanding career. I broke my right ankle in 2015. Wound up having another operation almost 2 years later. Hi, Renuva is a simple way to regain facial volume naturally. It is convenient because it is a simple injection and you can get it at any clinic that offers the service. You do need to be aware that because it is a more permanent solution, you need to find someone who really knows how to use the product. Because it is so simple to use, it could end up in the wrong hands and you will be left with the consequences of poorly injected product. The other thing you should be aware of is that it is made from donated human tissue. The product has no live cells and is sterilized, so the risk of infection transmission is negligible, however, immune reactions are something you should be aware of. I prefer autologous fat transfers. The fat is harvest from your own body, so you don't have to worry about getting someone else's tissue, and the injected fat is live cells which will give more natural results. When performed by a skilled and experienced doctor, your results should last a lifetime and look very natural.
It looks like your lateral cheeks are looking exaggerated for two reasons. First, the skin is lifted and bunched up as a result of the surgery and the other issue is that you have considerable volume loss that is not addressed with a face lift. The good news is, the skin will come down over time and start to look normal again and the laxity that you probably had in the lower face will stay away for many years. The bad news is that this process could take months, sometimes up to a year. My recommendation would be to get an autologous fat transfer to fill in the volume loss in your temples, in front of your ears, under the eyes, medial cheeks and jaw. If done properly, the fat transfer will look very natural and should last as long as the face lift. I agree that fillers are not a good option because trying to address the amount of volume required with filler will make you look unnatural and the filler will need to constantly be replace not to mention the risk of migration. The face lift was just the first step, now you need to complete the transformation by addressing the volume and you will look stunning!

Looking at your photos, I don't see any need for a surgical intervention. Dermal fillers under the eyes can have unwanted side effects such as visible lumps, prolonged swelling and discoloration. Non-surgical options are available but with the amount of weight loss you had, you will need something more aggressive than external laser and RF treatments.
