Thanks for your question. Although it is impossible to make a definitive diagnosis without a formal physical examination, from viewing your photograph is does appear that you have developed capsular contractures. You should meet with your surgeon to discuss your concerns and to review options, which may include capsulectomy (removal of the constricting breast capsules). Best of luck.

It's very likely that you have capsular contraction which has pulled the implants upwards, and has revealed the IMF scar, in which case you will need a capsulectomy and repositioning of the implants.

Without knowing details of how far you are out of surgery and if this is a revision (or primary), it's really hard to give you good advice on how you are healing.  However, from the photo, it does appear that you may be developing very early capsular contracture since your implants are so high.  Also, it's interesting that your scars meet in the midline.  I too would be interested to know if you saw a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for your procedure.  If not, I would highly recommend getting a second opinion and getting this fixed.I hope that helps and wish you the very best!-Gregory A Buford MD FACSBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author
