Scars revision and implants after BL in January. Should I do it? (photos)

Question

I had surgery Jan/2017 I was suppose to get breast lift with implants. woke up from surgery doc told me he wasn't able to do the implants bc it was to tight and he did the pockets for them but couldn't put them in so I only got Lift. My heeling was horrible, I had really bad open wounds. Just went back and he wants to do a scar revision and add the implants with a new incision to the side of breast. Would be two different surgeries. Scared it would open again and not be worth it. Should I do it?

I am sorry to hear you are going through this, the surgeon does not sound very well trained,you might want to get a different opinion with a board certified PS so he or she can better advise you,good luck!

What you describe happening in surgery does not sound like a well trained, skilled, and experienced surgeon was operating on you. To let him operate on you again seems risky.  Go visit a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons who specialize in all forms of cosmetic breast surgery and revision breast surgery.

I agree with the previous recommendations. Have the scars revised and wait until completely healed before considering implants. You seem to have full breasts already, and based on the complications you had with your previous surgery, you may want to reconsider getting implants at all.

Thank you for your question. I would be hesitant to have any scar revision procedure performed in conjunction with implant placement. You may do better having the scars excised first - wait until you heal, and then have the implants placed. If you have the implants placed at the same time then the tissue will be under tension, and there is a chance that things will not heal again. Also, if you are a smoker or diabetic, I suggest that you stop smoking and ensure that your blood sugars are under control.

Sorry for your stormy operative course. But the surgeon dd the correct decisions of doing only lift without implants. The serious wound healing issues must be determine as to causality. Best to seek in person second opinions from only boarded private practice PSs in Miami. I might do a series of surgeries to correct your results. First scar revision of the serious breast scarring. Second operation implants. Over the RS internet not the correct forum to obtain the answers ..

After looking at your photos and the problems you had the first time I would be conservative and just get my scars revised and then re visit the aug later after all has healed.

I would definitely do the scar revision then see where your breasts and satisfaction are after that. Take each step at a time to see how you heal. Hope that helps.
