What is a good cream to treat a keloid scar from an alarplasty? (Photos)

Hello and thank you for this question about your recovery. After five months, a cream may do little to reverse or minimize the presence of scar tissue. Cortisone injections usually help minimize the hardening and thickening of scar tissue but only in the immediate wake of your surgery. To remedy the scar in your pictures to your satisfaction, you may require a revision surgery. The photos show a hypertrophic scar, not a keloid.  Although I believe that this scar will ultimately require a surgical revision, I would recommend d a series of 1540 non-ablative laser treatments in the interim.  

If you were my patient I would revise the scar.  Scar creams work better in the early stage of healing.  Once a scar starts to thicken, cortisone injections are usually done to stop the process.  Talk to your surgeon about a revision.
