Hi! I'm a friendly plastic surgeon trained in cosmetic surgery and reconstructive microsurgery. I have a passion for breast surgery and facial cosmetic surgery as well as rhinoplasty.
I would highly recommend Dr Chris, he's incredibly talented, dedicated and professional! Highlights of what I like about Dr Chris 1. Meticulous, great eye for aesthetics and attention to detail 2. Thoughtful in his consultative approach, I like that he reviewed the case from a holistic point of view ,taking into consideration my active lifestyle and concern about keloid and scarring 3. Genuinely very caring for all his patients, and will recommend what is best for you 4. Decisive with quiet confidence that gives patient assurance and to focus on moving forward Dr Chris came highly recommended to me by two of my breast surgeons, he’s known for being the rare few surgeons who excel in all types procedures for breast reconstruction and constantly improve his skills to apply the latest advanced techniques. During our initial consultations, he patiently addressed all my concerns and explained in great details all the options available (tissue / implant/ fat graft) for me to decide which option I'm most comfortable with. We eventually decided to go ahead with two-stage hybrid implant + fat graft reconstruction along with my bilateral mastectomy procedure for the best results. I was also drawn to his philosophy to create the most natural results for his patients. I was apprehensive to go for implants at first but was very much well assured after the discussions with Dr Chris. I've just completed my second stage exchange + fat graft surgery and am very pleased with the results. I feel that we've made the best decision to go ahead with the hybrid procedure. It's as natural as it can get and in fact nicer than my originals. P Throughout the past six months of my breast journey, Dr Chris has been absolutely brilliant and his care was a great comfort for me in this phase. I definitely asked a gazillion number of questions throughout and he’s always very patient , informative and assuring in handling my queries. I'm absolutely thankful to have Dr Chris through this journey and will not hesitate to recommend his services!
Dr Christopher Chui is a very professional, experienced and confident surgeon. He has a listening ear and would listen patiently to my concerns and queries. I was very impressed by his knowledge and clear explanation. He would explain in detail the risks and benefits involved in Breast reconstruction surgery, as well as the various options available. His calm and patient demeanour has greatly alleviated my anxiety related to concerns about mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery. Dr Chui’s sincerity and honesty also gave me a lot of reassurance and confidence to proceed with the DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction surgery. Despite his busy schedule he would respond very quickly and promptly to my medical needs during the immediate post-op recovery period. He was also very attentive, gentle and caring during bedside care, wound drainage removal and wound dressing change. Overall, I am very delighted with the outcome as the newly reconstructed breast looks very symmetrical and natural. The result is beyond my expectation and even my husband is really impressed! I am most grateful to Dr Christopher Chui for the amazing result and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent breast reconstruction surgeon.
Dr Chris is a very gentle, assuring and soft spoken. He shows TLC when cleaning wounds and changing the bandage. I felt that I was in extremely good hands under his care. I’m all recovered now, all thanks to Dr Chris!
Dr Christopher Chui is an amazingly skillful and competent plastic surgeon. I underwent a mastectomy and reconstruction of my left breast. Dr Chui performed the reconstruction. His stitches are very neat and there is barely any scarring. Doing the reconstruction helped me greatly psychologically and I recovered without any depression from the mastectomy. I could drive 2 weeks after my surgery. I could do yoga 2 months after my surgery.
I was very impressed with Dr. Chui ability to handle stressful situations and get patients to relax when others could not. His professional approach definitely helped to increase my confidence level throughout the entire process. The whole process was so smooth and I was very happy with the end result. It is with pleasure that I would recommend Dr Chui to my friends or anyone who interested in the same procedure.
Dr. Chui changed my life - there is not a day that goes without me thinking about how lucky I am to have been able to have had the procedure done. After seeing a few doctors, I decided to have my surgery done by Dr. Chui - he was very precise and clear about what would work and what would not, and yet not imposing. His quiet confidence, light sense of humour and openness put me at ease instantly. I knew I was in great hands. I would recommend him to anyone who asks me - in fact I have!
I had stage 0 breast cancer (DCIS), diagnosed in December 2016, pre-Christmas. Needless to say, it was an eye opener to my otherwise routine, comfortable life -style. I was not living an unhealthy lifestyle...in fact, I ate well, I exercised regularly because I had interests in various sports and my annual health checks always came up roses. I was 44 years of age and had 4 children. Breastfed every one of them till I ran dry (1.5 - 3 years each - who said breastfeeding reduces chances of breast cancer? Haha. But that was my first thought.) The diagnosis came as a shock because no one ever thinks cancer will hit them next. The familiy has no cancer history. Immediately, I arranged meetings with breast surgeons and plastic reconstruction surgeons who worked closely with them. I must have spoken with (aka interviewed) 3 breast surgeons and their partnering reconstruction surgeons before deciding on the surgical team which would work on me. Between diagnosis and surgery dates were Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year. It was not easy not divulging news to the family over those seasonal periods of incessant merry-making and obligatory social gatherings. I was not prepared for how they would react (if badly, I did not want to expend energy calming them) nor for their questions/queries. Throughout that time, and once I had decided on my team of surgeons, I was frequently busy emailing the surgeons questions, queries, insecurities. Tons of it. On the surgery date, I did not feel nervous because I had hand-picked my surgeons and felt assured of their expertise and capabilites. I was nervous because I knew post surgery recovery would be long and arduous. I was not disappointed. The surgeons both did excellently. I was cleared of my DCIS and simultaneously, Dr Chui reconstructed my mastectomised breast using my DIEP flap. The surgery took almost 11 hours in all. I was wheeled into the preparation room of the operating theatre 7am. Dr Chui stood next to me in the preparation room and asked if I felt ok, just prior to the anaesthetist wheeling me into the theatre. Just before I was given GA, my breast surgeon put her hand on mine and smiled. When I woke, it was past 7pm. I am all recovered now. I had no post surgery complications. I healed according to schedule. I was up and about 3 days post surgery, albeit slowly and gingerly walking to the cafe downstairs from my ward for coffee with friends. Within 2 weeks, I was out walking my dog, slowly. After a month, I was comfortable doing all the usual things I used to do, brisk walking was fine, save for weight bearing activites which might have undone my reconstruction surgery. I travelled overseas after one month. After 2 months, I went back to yoga but took it real slowly and did not do extreme stretches or inversions. (Dr Chui said no core exercises because taking the DIEP flap affected a lot of muscle in that area and they needed time to heal properly) After 3 months, I practiced my regular yoga but listened to my body. After 4 months, I went back to playing football (Dr Chui did not exactly say it was ok. I think he said to avoid contact sports. I tried not to come into contact with anyone.) After 6 months, I stopped bugging Dr Chui with incessant questions via email or face-to-face. Because I felt fine and very well. I saw him subsequently for some steroid jabs to reduce scarring but nothing more significant than that. My reconstruction surgery had gone superbly.
An ovarian cystectomy during my 4th month of pregnancy and a subsequent c-sec at the birth of my baby led to the tearing of my abdominal muscles. The result was an unsightly huge bulge at the lower tummy with lots of stretched skin. I couldn't leave the house without my binder and had to wear loose drappy clothes to cover up. Exercising did absolutely nothing to it. Over the years, I read and researched on my condition and looked for doctors. I was recommended to Dr Chris Chui and basic background check shows good reviews. On first consultation, Dr Chui was very professional and I felt comfortable during the inspection. He was very clear in explaining the surgery process and also highlighting the risks. I appreciate that he did not hard sell other cosmetic procedures and went straight into correcting the problem. The hernia repair + tummy tuck surgery lasted about 4 hours and he was in his usual calm and composed manner which made me feel safe. He visited me regularly at my ward to check on me and after my discharge, there were also weekly reviews to ensure that my wounds heal up nicely. It's the 4th week now and I'm happy with the results, my tummy tuck was not overly tight and I could straighten up by end of week 2. My new belly button looks like a belly button, and albeit the long scar (which would understandably take time to fade), I look human again.
I’m an asian female in my mid twenties with double D breasts, and had shoulder and scapula pain for as long as I could remember. Recently it has started to affect me at work. I’ve tried seeing Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedic, Neurology, Rheumatology and even TCMs and massages for years but nothing seem to help relieve my pain. I was then recommended to try BBR. I was anxious for a lot of reasons but they were all allayed by the surgeon during the consultations. The surgery went very smoothly, I even had Abdominal Liposuction together for aesthetic purposes! There was minimal to no pain at all post op and I was able to ambulate the very next day. Surgical scars are very minimal and healed perfectly. My shoulder pain have greatly reduced and now I have firmer and perky breasts! I only wish I have known about this earlier!
Hello, A C cup is probably the most commonly requested size, the implant/volume to achieve this size depends on your body dimensions and type of implant. It's best to consult a plastic surgeon that can show you how certain sizes fit on your body either physically or virtually with computer simulations.
If anything you only have mild ptosis, I don't think it would be considered medical. Your eyelid margin needs to be less than 2mm from the midpoint of your pupil to be considered medical.Having said that, you would probably benefit from ptosis correction if you were to have an upper blepharoplasty.
Fat transfer to the breasts is a great option to moderately increase the size of your breasts without having any telltale signs.I don't recommend my patients to gain weight because when you lose the weight the fat will shrink. It's ok to gain weight after the procedure as the fat in your breasts will get bigger, which is what you want.
Thank you for your question. It doesn't seem like you have brow ptosis. You may have mild eyelid ptosis, but the position is fairly normal for Asians. You would benefit from a double eyelid procedure to brighten your eyes. A suture technique would be appropriate for you.
It's possible you would benefit from both.Removing the buccal fat would slim your cheeks and the botox to the masseters would slim your jaw.You could try the botox first if your are undecided on the surgery
