Does Alarplasty cause breathing issues? (photos)

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your
photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty in addition to an alar base reduction.  If good technique is used, an alar base reduction will not affect your breathing.  Make sure you specifically look at before and after
pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon
and not just a computer animation system. The most important
aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek
consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate
you in person.

Muir a beautiful young lady with a lovely nose that fits your face.  Do not even think about Alar plasty or Wier resection to narrow your nostrils.  This procedure in my opinion causes terrible distortion of the alar rims by flattening them and creating a scar where the nostril rim attaches to the cheek.  You have a beautiful face and nose and alar base resection would be a very serious mistake that we will detract from your natural beauty.  Do not do it.
