Hi I'm a 26yr old AA female from the Miami area. I am a model with a small nose but I feel as though my alars are too big and throws off the symmetry of my face. I would also like to get a better profile with a more prominent nose *minus the full surgery I have a small bridge and would plan on just getting fillers to aid in that area. *** I'm looking for facial plastic surgeons in the Tri-county area in South Florida
Answer: Skilled surgeons Florida There are multiple skilled surgeons in Florida who specialize in rhinoplasty for African Americans. Look at before and afters and seek attention from a surgeon with great experience. Some names to consider Andres Bustillo, Ryan Greene, etc.

Answer: Alar base reduction. Doctors in the Miami area that are skilled in this area? (Photo) Hi and thanks for your photos. I do not think you need an alar reduction you may be serve with an L implant to provide a higher dorso to your nose and tip definition, and more open angle between your mouth and your nose tip, all of this is performed by internal incisions that won't show. Alar reduction is the last thing to try in a nosejob since incisions are external and obvious.I am not in Miami but near in DR, so I am experince in African American Nose Jobs, as you can intuit.Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)Member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS)Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Answer: Beware I don't see you have large alae, at all, actually I'd say they are petite, so trimming them down would be a terribe aesthetic and functional misjudgement; seek the opinion of a good surgeon and follow his advice, rather than self indicating procedures. However, it is true your nostrils, the "hole" itself, is oversized and needs work; in your case with a double approach:-the nostril gap itself is large, so a wedge resection of the nostril sill is indicated in your case (nothing to do with the alae flare trim)-the alar rims seem poorly projected therefore enhancing the effect of broad nostrils; if you wish a full work and the maximum effect then I'd go for a structure rhinoplasty with rim and batten grafts to obtain better support of the nostril rim (a poorly supported nostril rim is known cause of nostril widening)If you wish better grounded opinion well lit, focused and standard images have to be assessed: frontal, both lateral and both oblique views, also underneath the nostrils. Feel free to request any additional information from me.

Answer: Finesse Based on the pictures you have provided, you have a very nice nose that is congruent with your face and ethnicity. In my opinion, with a nose like yours, changes would be minor using finesse techniques to subtly enhance the appearance of your nose to meet your goals. These techniques would still maintain ethnicity and ensure that your nose remains congruent with the rest of your facial features. I would encourage you to discuss your options with a plastic surgeon with a particular specialization in rhinoplasty.
