How long after a surgical mole excision can I undergo a rhinoplasty?

Hi, I have recently had a surgical mole excision using local anaesthetic and would like to know when I could have a rhinoplasty. The mole excision was not on my face. Kind regards.

Hi, It is better for you to consult with your facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and give you opinion based on examination. No restrictions, you can do it whenever you like.

If the excised mole was not on the face then you should be clear to move forward with a Rhinoplasty whenever you're ready. Make sure to consult with a Board certified Plastic Surgeon with ample experience in the area.

You can have a rhinoplasty at any time. The mole removed will most likely not affect your rhinoplasty as it is in a different location. One complication would be that if the mole is cancerous but it should not affect it.

Thank you for your question. In general, having anole excised on your face should not preclude you from having a rhinoplasty unless the moleremoval was on your nose or very close to it and the incision is still not healed. The worry is that the incision may "open" or be pulled apart during the procedure. If the mole was away from the operative field, it should be safe to have a rhinoplasty 2-3 weeks as the face usually heals very fast due to its excellent blood supply. If the mole was on the nose or close to it, the surgeon may want to wait a bit longer to allow the scar to mature more.
