Hello, Does juvaderm and other HA fillers around the nose need to be dissolved before rhinoplasty surgery? Ive recently had filler injected under eye, cheek and nasiolabial fold area and plan to undergo rhinoplasty within the next 6 months. Thanks!
Answer: Dissolving filler before rhinoplasty Hello, It should have no impact. Your nose might be more projected with the filler so if you are concerned with that, then dissolve. Otherwise, it should not make a difference.

Answer: Since I have the filler dissolved is because you don't like the way it looks. If your ha fillers look acceptable, I don't believe there is a necessity to have them dissolved before your rhinoplasty surgery. It's different if somebody has Juvederm in their nose and wishes to have rhinoplasty surgery. When that is the case, having the filler dissolved may bring somebody back to their Baseline nasal appearance. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. You do not have to get those fillers dissolved prior to surgery. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Answer: Fillers & Dissolving In our clinic, what I would neither perform nor recommend in general is filler. Each surgeon will have their own view and opinion on this and it may be best to discuss with your doctor. Filler may bring balance to uneven topography of the cheek area, which could positively affect your outcome helping it appear more symmetrical. Too much filler, however could negatively impact the result your surgeon is able to achieve. Without seeing a photo, it’s not possible to say. The best way of dissolving HA is to perform slowly, over several visits. Dissolving does not always happen symmetrically. Symmetrical dissolving is only an idea once fillers are placed. It will also depend on your long term goals. Would you want to touch-up your filler post-op? If so, perhaps better not to dissolve just to repeat. Your surgeon can create a long-term treatment plan with you based on your goals and best weigh in. I hope this is helpful in guiding your pre-operative conversations!
