Technically, you can definitely have liposuction of your lower extremities and rhinoplasty surgery as a combined procedure. Both of these procedures are difficult to do well on a consistent basis and you might find it difficult to find a plastic surgeon who is truly excellent at both. Both Liposuction and rhinoplasty surgery are technically difficult procedures, and finding someone who can deliver consistent quality results Maybe challenging. I’m a big advocate for patience being highly selective when it comes to choosing providers. I generally recommend patience select providers only after having multiple consultations trying to find the best provider for the procedure you’re interested in. It’s generally always better to find someone who specializes in a particular procedure. Liposuction of the lower extremities is particularly challenging And getting consistent quality results as well as the ability to make an accurate assessment regarding the patient’s candidacy for the procedure for thigh, liposuction is challenging. My practice has been devoted exclusively to Liposuction for well over a decade. I no longer consider doing rhinoplasty surgery, but feel that I have excelled at the one procedure. I do on a regular basis. I would most likely deliver Liposuction results that are better than average plastic surgeons, but you wouldn’t want me to do your rhinoplasty, even though I have done lots of rhinoplasty surgery in the past. There are advantages and also disadvantages for doing combined procedures. If I was considering the surgeries you are contemplating, I would probably be looking for two different providers who had the skill for each separate procedure. The importance of provider selection is probably equally as important for both Liposuction and rhinoplasty surgery. Both these procedures can leave people disfigured With the need for multiple revision surgeries. Liposuction particular can lead to severe deformity if provider selection is not done adequately. Insist on seeing , lots and lots of before and after pictures for any operation, your contemplating whether you have one or two surgeons doing the procedures. Highly experienced surgeons should’ve access to hundreds or preferably thousands of before and after pictures. I suggest you rely exclusively on in person consultations, avoiding virtual consultations whatever possible. Be more selective than you think necessary and when in doubt slow down and schedule more consultations. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right provider. If I was personally going to have a rhinoplasty procedure, I would probably consider having at least three or four consultations before selecting a provider. I would also be looking for plastic surgeons who focus exclusively on rhinoplasty surgery. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
