I know Botox can be used, but is this something I’d have to keep getting done every couple of months? I’d prefer a more permanent option if there is one. Do symptoms of the orange peel chin keep improving until you no longer need treatement or will I need to get it every time the Botox runs out. I’m only 19 and hate my chin and wouldn’t want to have to keep treating my chin forever. What Can I do?

Answer: Botox or Dysport for "p'eau d'orange" chin dimpling. The chin dimpling you see is from dynamic movement of the chin causing "p'eau d'orange" appearance. A small amount of botox (5 units) would be sufficient but it needs to be placed in the right location and it will only help the lower appearance of the chin. There will still be some dimpling above the treatable area as we must avoid placement too superiorly so that it will not affect your smile. Find an experienced provider to do this. This lasts 3-4 months and must be repeated if you like it.
