I have an orange peel chin. What can be done to fix this?

Botox is an effective treatment for the "orange peel" chin appearance since the irregularity is typically due to muscle contraction. It provides a very nice aesthetic result and may last 4-6 months. Botox can do a great job of smoothing out your chin and removing the orange-peel look. It only takes a small amount of Botox to make a big difference in this area. Over time, as your muscle weakens, you may need less Botox. Regardless, it would only have to be re-administered every 4 to 6 months. Botox is very effective at treating this issue.  You will most likely need to have Botox treatments every 4-6 months to maintain the effects.

The chin dimpling you see is from dynamic movement of the chin causing "p'eau d'orange" appearance.   A small amount of botox (5 units) would be sufficient but it needs to be placed in the right location and it will only help the lower appearance of the chin.   There will still be some dimpling above the treatable area as we must avoid placement too superiorly so that it will not affect your smile.    Find an experienced provider to do this.   This lasts 3-4 months and must be repeated if you like it.

The best treatment for this concern is Botox or Dysport.  This issue is occurring due to movement in the muscle.  Luckily it doesn't take that much to achieve results!
