To rotate your nose upward would take about 4 Units of Botox. The effect would only last about 3 to 4 months. You might want to consider rhinoplasty as an alternative. Because it is a surgical procedure, the changes are permanent. If you add up the cost of lifetime Botox, surgery is less expensive and requires less maintenance, too. I hope this helps.
You would only need a small amount of Botox to accomplish a slight nose lift. The actual amount would be determined by your dermatologist, but it would probably be between 2 and 4 Units. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist who has expertise in creating nose lifts with Botox.
Before deciding on the amount of units needed, the most important thing to answer is whether or not using Botox or Dysport to try to provide some lift to the tip is even the right idea to consider in the first place. The primary target area is a paired set of muscles called the depressor septi nasi. An experienced rhinoplasty surgeon should be able to properly evaluate this area very easily. If treating these muscle fibers is indicated then only a small amount is needed. I prefer an injection on each side as opposed to a single injection point directly in the center under the end of the septum. On each side most patient need 2 units of Botox or 6 units of Dysport.Using some filler to give the illusion of tip lift or changes in projection is commonly performed at the same time and has a much greater impact on the appearance of tip elevation that Botox or Dysport can have by themselves.
Treating the depressor septi nasi muscle with Botox can lift the nasal tip in some (but not all) patients. It only takes about 4 units to treat this so it's worth a try. Good luck.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Facial Rejuvenation Specialist
In general, the depressor septi muscle is very small and 1 shot (2.5 units) is all this is usually required to lift the tip. On occasion, a second shot (5 units total) can be used.
For an accurate answer, you would need an in person examination and photos. At that time an assessment would be performed and treatment choices would be determined and discussed.
I would consider lifting the tip of the nose with Botox very difficult and would not expect much from this injection. I think that filler injection would be much more beneficial for lifting the tip. If your nose nose moves with speaking and expression, Botox can be more beneficial for controlling this movement.
Only a small amount of Botox, 4 units, is required at the base of the columella to upturn the nasal tip. Be sure to see an experienced injector.
It usually takes 3-4 units of botox to lift up a depressed tip. Sometimes I combine botox with small amount of filler to lift the tip of the nose. Thank you fro your question.
It usually takes no more than 4 units to lift the tip of the nose with Botox injected at the base of the columella
There is a normal range for most patients. I find that 20-30 units of Botox per side (or 60-90 units of Dysport) is adequate for the vast majority of patients. If it is the first time we are trying an injection I will often start around 20 units per side then reassess in a few weeks to see if...
Botox goes straight into the muscle — far below the follicles in the skin. It will not cause your hair to fall out. If you are losing your hair, a board-certified dermatologist will be able to help determine the cause and offer solutions, such as minoxidil.
This typically wears off over the next several weeks. It's important that you go back to your reputable injector, and allow them to see in a short term interval what your sensation of heaviness refers to. typically your injector may need to adjust the number of neurotoxins use in the future if...
