I’m a 60 year old male that wanted to try a filler for my eye bags. I was impressed with the procedure and outcome. I would recommend anyone wanting to try these procedures to check out Dr. Kitagawa. Very pleasant and professional as well as all the staff I encountered.
Dr Kitagawa and his entire staff are AWESOME!!! I was looking for a new dermatologist and was referred to him from a friend. My family and I have been seeing him for 2 years now and are truly happy and satisfied with our treatment received. The entire office staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and highly professional. I now refer anyone who asks me who I see or who are looking for a dermatologist to Dr Kitagawa.
I went to Dr. Kitagawa to improve the look of my thinning lips, the marionette lines around my mouth, and the loss of volume in my cheeks. I was afraid of two things: 1) pain 2) looking “overdone”. Dr. Kitagawa patiently answered my questions and gave a thorough explanation of the pros/cons of each injection and what to expect. Julie numbed my face 20 minutes before the Juvederm injection, so it hurt much less than I expected. I was able to go back to work that afternoon and nobody noticed the swelling. 2 weeks later I looked natural and refreshed, like a version of myself ten years earlier without the puffed up look you see on reality TV. I’m so happy with my results and my experience with Kitagawa Dermatology!
I got a tattoo done when I was in college of a dolphin around my belly button. Now, five years later, I hate it and never wear crop tops or bikinis anymore because I don't want people to see this cheesy and juvenile tattoo. I finally decided to try to get rid of it, and I did some research on tattoo removal in Oahu and found Dr. Kitagawa. I've only undergone one session so far but I can already see it fading and am very hopeful that it will eventually be gone completely! Dr. Kitagawa is using the PicoWay laser, and it seems to be working well.
I came to Hawaii for a friend's wedding, and of course wanted to look amazing since I was in the bridal party. I had Botox done about a week beforehand by Dr. Kitagawa, and it was perfect! I found him online when I was looking up dermatologists in the area, and went there since he seemed to have good reviews. Botox is one of those treatments where you think it's simple because everyone does it, but really you need to see a great doctor so that you don't get frozen! He did my crow's feet, forehead, and frown lines, and I looked natural and wrinkle-free for the wedding. If I'm ever back in Honolulu, I'll definitely go to him again.
Sorry to hear about your tattoo regret. You need to wait for two months before attempting to remove your tattoo, otherwise you could damage your skin. Before your treatment, your dermatologist applies a numbing cream to make your tattoo removal less painful. It’s not a walk in the park, but it’s tolerable. A board-certified dermatologist will be able to remove that tattoo for you using the PicoWay laser.
It’s perfectly normal for a light-colored, white-based tattoo ink — such as pink — to darken before fading. The laser energy oxidizes the white pigment, turning it a brownish color. The laser then targets the brown and removes that, too. This double-step process is why removing light colors takes longer than removing dark colors. A board-certified dermatologist who’s an expert with PicoWay laser tattoo removal will be able to remove all traces of your butterfly.
I don’t know of any instances in the cosmetic use of Botox where it would be advisable to actually paralyze a muscle. If you did, you’d get that “frozen” look that Botox was infamous for in the early days of the treatment. Instead, your dermatologist gives you just enough to relax the muscle so it doesn’t form wrinkles anymore. Your muscle can move, but can’t contract fully. A board-certified dermatologist will be able to help you get beautiful results from Botox.
A board-certified dermatologist will be able to help you get the look you want by using Botox to relax the muscles that are making your nose look elongated and flared when you smile. Your nose should look normal at rest, just as you prefer. Botox lasts about three to four months. Please find an expert dermatologist to reshape your nose with Botox.
Absolutely do not pick at your tattoo while it is healing! You could permanently damage your skin. It takes about two months for a fresh tattoo to heal completely. At that point, you can have it removed with the PicoWay laser. It takes about five to eight sessions to remove most tattoos. A board-certified dermatologist will be able to look at your tattoo and estimate how many sessions you need with the PicoWay laser.
