Hello, 38-year-old female here. I've been getting botox on my 11 (frown marks) for nearly 10 years, and on my crows feet more recently. Now I'm starting to get horizontal lines on my forehead that could be improved. I do, however, want to avoid looking like a windshield. My great fear: the big, shiny, immobile forehead. I want just the teensy tiniest amount of Botox on these horizontal lines, especially if it would be combined with the 16 units for the 11s. What's the least amount to request?
Answer: Low dose Botox for forehead wrinkles Many of my patients have the goal to improve the appearance of their forehead lines but still maintain some motion of the brows. To achieve this goal, I usually use 6-10 units depending on the height of the forehead, amount of motion, and distribution of the lines. I would suggest that you just voice your goals with your physician or nurse injector and let them use their expertise to choose the number of units that would be necessary to achieve your goals. If you don't like the results, I would suggest you go back for a follow-up visit while the Botox is working so that they can see what it is you don't like about the result. It may be possible to give you a little extra Botox as a touch-up or they may alter the dosing or distribution of injections the next time to try to give you the results you're hoping to achieve. Keep in mind with very conservative dosing in the forehead, you may find that the results don't last quite as long as the results you're achieving in the other areas.

Answer: Amount of Botox Needed for Forehead #botoxseattle Having treated thousands of foreheads with Botox to help with wrinkles, I have found that an average of 12 u across the forehead usually does a great job! Some patients, who have a very high hair line, or who have additional lines just above the brows, may benefit from more. But I have many patients who consistently receive 8 or 12 u for their forehead lines every three months, and they couldn't be happier! You definitely want to avoid using too much Botox for the forehead, because if the frontalis muscle of the forehead becomes too weak, the eyebrow can drop, and no one likes having their eyebrow drop. Meet with a practitioner who has lots of Botox experience.

Answer: The very minimum amount of Botox for forehead wrinkles? It’s hard to estimate how much (minimum) you need without examiningyou, but 10 to 12 units should be sufficient.

Answer: Botox/Xeomin/Dysport Results for Forehead Wrinkles--Results last 3-4 months This is difficult to answer without pictures. Generally 20-25 units is needed for the forehead. Botox results last 3-4 months. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Botox on the forehead typically doesn't take many units Most of my patients want their forehead to look natural after Botox. If too much Botox is given the forehead may start to look a little shiny (but that really takes many months of treatment to get there), but more importantly the brow may droop and become heavy making the patient look angry. The nice thing with Botox is that you can always add more if a small amount doesn't give the desired effect. You could consider starting with 6 units injected high on the forehead and see what kind of improvement that gives you. If you didn't think it does enough you could always go back in a few weeks and have a little more. I find it's better to do that with a new patient than giving them too much and having to wait 3 months for it to wear off. Don't forget that treatment with Botox is a process. The longer you get it the nicer the results. So if you keep up with treatments every 3 months your results should get better and better. I hope this helps. Best of luck.
