I had breast augmentation in March ‘22. The implants I had placed are 505cc HP. I feel they are much too big for my body and are causing me back pain. Would I be able to go from 505 to 350cc without needing a lift? My goal is to have upper pole fullness.
Answer: Implant exchange You would likely be fine with an implant exchange for a smaller size without a lift. The nipple/areola complexes appear to be high enough. You may need a capsulorrhaphy laterally to make sure the smaller implants do not move too far out but this does not add any visible scars.

Answer: Downsizing and breast lift Dear brittaniek, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You can replace implants and wait to see the final results. Later if needed you can get breast lift. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Downsizing Hi. I think you can go down in size without needing a breast lift. The smaller you go, the less volume and roundness you will see, especially at the top. If your skin is loose, then it will get looser as you go smaller, but it will still be more firm than the way it was before your surgery last year. Talk to your surgeon about the options and expectations with the size that you desire. Best of luck!

Answer: Lift An examination is needed to see if a lift can be done. You could have your lateral pockets tightened and use minimally invasive radiofrequency skin tightening for improvement.

Answer: Downsizing Breast implants Thank you for your question. It is certainly possible to downsize your breast implants. I would recommend a non surgical skin tightening method like radio frequency (ThermiTight or Bodytite) which can tighten the skin envelope so that breast lift is avoided.. I often do extra-capsular removal of the implant with redraping of breast tissue on the new implant which seems to help. Please discuss this with your plastic surgeon who can help you with all your concerns. All the best!

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method If you are having back pain from the implants then I recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
