I have rippling on both of my breasts and yes due to low body-fat I haven’t been so satisfied with my results because of this and I told my surgeon about this, at first he recommended that I gained some weight but it’s easier said than done. Then he said that we could try a bigger implants so that it “stretches” out the skin. My question is, could this be a solution? Would it nos cause more rippling since I’m so skinny?…
Answer: Rippling Dear constanza573, rippling can result due to many factors including thin skin, poor implant position etc. Sometimes, bigger implants can help, but this may not feel as natural. I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Implants Do not go bigger! Bigger implants will just be heavy, and stretch and thin your own tissue even more and ripples will show more. If you can, go smaller and have the lateral pockets tightened. You could also go with a more cohesive and firmer gel which ripples less.

Answer: Rippling Rippling can be improved with a breast lift to tighten the skin envelope, using cohesive gel implants, fat grafting of the overlying skin flaps, and the use of a dermal matrix interface. Usually a combination of maneuvers is needed to improve this.

Answer: Breast implant rippling Hello ! Breast rippling can occur due to several factors, including low body fat, implant type, size, and placement, and the condition of the breast tissue. In some cases, increasing the implant size can improve the appearance of rippling, but it is not always a guaranteed solution. If you have low body fat and are already experiencing breast rippling, larger implants may not be the best option, as they can potentially exacerbate the problem. The extra weight of larger implants could further stretch the skin and lead to more pronounced rippling. In addition to implant size, other factors that can impact the likelihood of breast rippling include the type of implant (silicone vs. saline), placement (submuscular vs. subglandular), and the quality of the breast tissue. If you are considering breast augmentation surgery to address rippling, it is essential to discuss all of your options with your surgeon to determine the best course of action for your unique situation. It is also important to note that gaining weight solely to address breast rippling is not recommended. Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight through a balanced diet and regular exercise is crucial for overall health and wellness, and should not be done solely for cosmetic purposes. I hope this helps, best of luck !
