I'm concerned that my right implant is messed up in some way. I know it's super earlie to tell but I don't understand why my left side has dropped down sooo much and my right is still very high. I'm trying my best to not be worried but it's kinda hard.
Answer: 2 weeks post op one implant higher Thank you for your question and photograph. It is quite common and normal for one implant to be a bit higher than the other at 1 month post breast augmentation. My advice is to wait a full 4-6 months before considering your final result and consult with your plastic surgeon regarding implant massage. Best of luck.

Answer: How long before my breast will be equal after augmentation? The best person to ask about the healing of your breast augmentation is your operating plastic surgeon. Having said that, I always tell my patients not to look at themselves for 1 month, and it will take 3 months before they are were they are going to be. They will be more normal as the swelling comes down. Remember, they are two separate operations on the same person and they will heal at their own rate.

Answer: 2 weeks post op: left implant seems to have dropped but my right has not at all - normal? Hello! Thank you for your question! You are still early post-procedure. Your appearance will continue to improve as the swelling subsides and the implants continue to settle into their desired position. This usually proceeds over the next several weeks to months as the lower pole skin/breast stretches to accommodate the implants. Usually, final results will be seen 3-6 months postop. Follow-up closely with your surgeon for additional restrictions/instructions and the potential use of bras/garments or massage that may encourage the implant to settle appropriately. It is not uncommon for one breast to settle more quickly than the other due to swelling, dissection, or muscle tightness. If still displaced after this time, a surgical procedure may be necessary to further open the pocket and bring the implant(s) down or implant exchange/revision. Hope that this helps! Best wishes!

Answer: One breast has dropped faster than the other after augmentation. At this stage in your recovery it is certainly common for the implants to drop at different speeds. you have to give it at least three months to evaluate final results. Follow-ups and communication with your plastic surgeon are essential. #StayBeautiful @RealDrWorldWide

Answer: To drop or not to drop that is the question? thanks for your questioning your photo. It certainly is common for one implant to drop faster than the other sometimes it takes weeks and can even take up to a couple of months. I would be patient. I would discuss your concerns with your board-certified plastic surgeon to make sure that everything is going as they expected. In my experience usually when the implant is higher than the other, it is based on the fact that you use one hand more than the other. They usually settle. I would not be concerned at all. An Intervention may be necessary if it does stay settle but only after 6 months.Good luck. All the best,Carlos Mata MD, MBA, FACSBoard-certified plastic surgeon
