Can I eat seafood before breast augmentation?

We do not present dietary restrictions to any of our surgical patients prior to surgery. Seafood should be fine. Good luck with an excellent cosmetic result !

Eating seafood before your surgery shouldn’t be a problems although it’s always best  to ask your surgeon first. Just make sure it’s fresh!

Feel free to enjoy seafood prior to your procedure. In general, you want to avoid blood thinners prior to surgery. Seafood is perfectly safe.

This is a little bit weird question, there's nothing on the literature that say anything about sea food and breast implant augmentation, and there's no logical thinking in contraindicating eating sea food prior surgery... Enjoy your shrimp and lobster, best regards!!!

Thank you for your question. This is a new one to me.....just when you thought you had heard everything. There is no reason I can come up with as to why you should avoid seafood prior to surgery. Hope this helps!

Unless you have a seafood allergy, I don't know if a reason to avoid it before surgery. You should ask your surgeon to see if he has a special protocol for his patients that may involve a specific diet.

Eating seafood before surgery should be no problem at all.  I do not recommend fish oils 10-14 days prior to surgery because that is concentrated oils that can thin your blood and make you bruise, but there is no health risk to eating seafood prior to surgery. Best of luck to you

should be discussed with your surgeon and most offices provide a list of things to avoid.  Reading things on-line is different from specific instructions from your surgeon.  And your surgeon should always be your 'go to' source, especially in your post-op period when recovering from surgery.  You are paying your surgeon well and your surgeon should be available to you 24/7 during your recovery so make sure of that!
