After a mommy makeover the sutures will be removed at 10-14days. The incisions will be 90% healed after 1 month and the last few percent can take up to 1 year for the redness to completely dissipate. By large if you have 4- 6 weeks before a vacation or an important event you will be appropriately healed and able to enjoy your new look!

Incisions are generally healed to the point after six weeks that you can swim in a pool or the ocean and take a bath. You are also able to resume strenuous activities. Scars will continue to heal for the next six to twelve months and will fade over years.
If postoperative healing is uncomplicated most surgical incisions are healed to the extent that they will resist separation at approximately 3 weeks. The initial scar however continue to remodel and mature for up to 2 years. Remodeling or maturation refers to the process whereby collagen in the scar is broken down and replaced in a more orderly fashion. Consequently scars normally continue to improve in their appearance during this timeframe.
