Incisions generally need a few weeks to heal after surgery, depending on your rate of recovery. However, they'll need months to strengthen and then more than a year to start fading. All incisions first heal, then thicken/strengthen and then remodel/fade.
I appreciate your question.Everyone heals differently so varies from patient to patient. By 12 -14 weeks you should be doing well. Best to check with your surgeon as he/she is most familiar with how you are healing at this time and can give you a more definitive answer. The best way to assess and givetrue advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certifiedplastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery.best of luck!Dr Schwartz
