7 months after facelift, will micro needling help my rippling and sagging skin? (Photo)

This appears to be the result of tissue/ skin repositioning and tightening. It may improve a little over the next few months but will probably not go away. Needling will not significantly reduce this issue. If it still present 1 year after original surgery, I would recommend touch up surgery with skin redraping. 

Your photos suggest that the irregularities you see may be the result of the direction in which the skin was tightened during the procedure.  It really is impossible to know for sure without an examination, but if indeed this is the case, repositioning the skin in a secondary procedure should markedly improve your appearance.  It is something to discuss with your surgeon.  I don't believe microneedling will offer any benefit.

Thanks for the question. First 24-48 hours after the operation face will be swelling. After 48 hours swelling will be decreases. Scalp area stitches are taken from the day 10. Final results may take 1 month. Patients can return to work after 1 week. The effect of gravity varies according to the aging speed and lifestyle but it provides an average permanent effect of 10 years. I wish you all the best.

It is difficult to tell what your exact concerns are from your pictures.  If the horizontal lines in your neck is our issues, then microneedling will not help with those changes.  The pictures you take, your neck is always curved or bent.  I would post a simple picture from the front and side with good lighting.  That would help us answer your post-facelift questions.  I hope this helps.  

It looks like there are attachhments of the skin to underlying structures that are causing the rippling and dimpling. Releasing them would be helpful in getting rid of them. 

Rippling that is due to traction on the skin from an underlying pull may be best treated by undermining the skin in the area.  It may be a simple office procedure to perform.  Microneedling may not adequately release these attachments and cause more swelling and bruising.  

You should not have any irregular rippling of the skin 7 months after a facelift. I recommend you discuss your concerns with your surgeon. Micro needling can improve skin texture, but it will not improve a bad facelift result.

Thank you for the question and photos.  I don't know how much change micro needling would provide.  The issues that you have identified are likely do to the combination of irregular tension on the skin and perhaps some underlying soft tissue asymmetry.  I don't think micro needling would hurt so there may be no harm in trying.  Repair of this area may be fairly straightforward using just the incision behind your ear.All the best,Dr. Remus Repta

It very difficult to make an assessment of your problem because you are constantly showing pictures that distort the anatomy of the face and neck as you are posing in an bent or with your neck curved towards the side. Proper evaluation of the neck and face before and after surgery are done with the face looking forward. not bent. Please ask your surgeon for a copy of your pictures and post those picture so that proper medical pictures could be evaluated.
