Dr. Daines is superior in the field of plastic surgery. I interviewed 3 other surgeons and Dr. Daines resume was by far the most accomplished in his field. Double board certified! My final decision was after meeting him I knew beyond a doubt Dr. Daines was the surgeon I wanted to do my lower deep plane face and neck lift. Its been 2 weeks since my surgery and Im beyond happy with the results. I look so refreshed and yes younger!!!! I look on the outside like I feel on the inside. Dont doubt for a minute once you meet him and see his qualifications you wont look a minute longer. I am a client and friend for ever. Thank you to all his staff for their caring and expertise in all that they do.
I'm satisfied with my rhinoplasty results and glad I trusted him! During my recovery, his staff answered all of my questions (which were a lot) in a timely manner and were very professional. Would recommend him.
I spent a million years lurking this website and i owe this community a review! Firstly I like my face a lot BUT I do have full cheeks and small chin, which leaves me looking a little shapeless looking sometimes. I wanted more definition & to make the rest of my features pop. While on this vanity journey, I tried 2MLs of voluma in my chin and liked the effect. The chin really is a secret weapon even just a tiny tweak can make the cheek bones pop! 6 months later here I am! I dislike the way overdone/overfilled plastic surgery looks-- I wanted something very natural and subtle. I decided to avoid bev hills because I thought it was a bit overpriced and could get kind of tacky. I found Dr Daines on RealSelf through another review. We had a virtual consult and he was was super down to earth and mirrored my interest in natural results! He's present, easy going and a highly skilled surgeon. Im pretty private so pardon the creepy black out edits on my pics, I just want to remain anon! I had my "procedure" 4 days ago, I will continue to update :)
Ever since I was young I've had a round face, and double chin. Even at my tiniest I would have this hereditary double chin that went with me wherever I went- now that I have the research and the funds I figure id do something about it! This is my journey. Updated on 26 Sep 2019: Consultation was amazing. I had been following Dr. daines for quite a while on social media and knew he had amazing reviews. Dr daines took the time to make me feel comfortable, as this was my first time getting any sort of procedure done. He had great bedside manner amazing reviews and provided all of his credentials right there on the spot. That’s when I knew I made the right choice. He also let me know what would be good for a woman my age versus something I would most likely consider later in life. The fact that he didn’t pressure me and made me feel very comfortable let me know he was the doctor for me! After the consultation, the next step was surgery. We scheduled it and it was that easy! Updated on 26 Sep 2019: On the day of surgery I was quite nervous, as I had never been put under before and had never had any sort of procedure done. I got there early first thing in the morning, and everyone at the surgery center was very kind and accommodating. They made sure I was comfortable and next thing I knew the procedure was over. Overall I was told the procedure took about an hour to an hour and a half, but honestly it felt like five minutes because I woke up and it was over! Time for the healing process to begin! I’ve included a picture of my side profile prior to the procedure and immediately after! Updated on 26 Sep 2019: OK, I’m not gonna lie. The first day post operation really made me nervous, because my face was super puffy even under the wraps and as somebody who had never had any sort of procedure done before it was a little nerve-racking. However I knew I trusted my doctor and I needed to get out of my own head, Cue the Netflix marathon and time to stay away from the mirror! Updated on 26 Sep 2019: OK so on the fourth day I could finally get a feel for the side profile I had been wanting, so I was super excited about that. The only thing is that my jowls were so puffy I had wondered if my face was gonna look like that forever But thankfully other folks on this platform had similar experiences with the puffiness so I knew it was going to reside. It’s still hard not to stare at your face though in a mirror and wonder if it’s going to get any better. Here I’ve included a side profile comparison... SO much better!!! But holy jowls.. they were puffy. Updated on 26 Sep 2019: OK honestly the best advice I can give you is to just stay away from the mirror and stop taking selfie’s the first five days. Your face is super puffy at least mine was and it wasn’t until Day five or I started to become really happy with the results. I will say that I still had a little bit of numbness in my chin but it started coming back slightly which I read was normal. So that was definitely a relief so far loving the results. Updated on 26 Sep 2019: I can’t believe it’s already been a week. Today I had my stitches taken out by the doctor and I am absolutely in love with the results. It’s such a subtle change however it makes such an impact and I’m not self-conscious about my chin anymore. I used to always try to position it correctly for photos and no matter what I did always had a double chin so I’m glad that it’s finally gone. The puffiness is gone down the shape is finally settling, and I’m very happy with the results. The numbness is still a little around my chin but the feeling is slowly coming back but I told that could take weeks. I am so happy I decided to do this! Dr. Daines is an amazing doctor and I couldn’t be any more over the moon that I decided to go with him. Updated on 26 Sep 2019: No matter what I did, I always had a double chin :( Updated on 26 Sep 2019: Pesky little double chin.. Updated on 18 Feb 2020: I totally forgot I had the procedure done! My only regret is not doing it sooner! I lost a bit of sensitivity on the right side of my cheek near my lip, which I was told could take a few months to come back, but it’s not something that bothers me. Overall I’m so happy I did it and love the results.
I was feeling a little droopy in the eyes and like I just wanted an overall refreshed look with minimal downtime. Dr.Daines performed an upper blepharoplasty under local anesthetic and it was virtually pain free and the results are truly amazing. Dr. Daines does some magical work with the scalpel, has a fantastic bedside manner and excellent attention to detail. I also chose to have microneedling with PRP done by him the same day, and I just love how my skin looks! I have gotten so many compliments, and my makeup goes on and sets beautifully now! Everyone I encountered in both the surgery Center and the office was extremely professional and so courteous!
Dr. Daines took 15 years off my face! I can actually see my jawline again. He is truly an artist! And it was all done with no general anesthesia which I have a low tolerance to. I have to admit I never thought I would do something like this but I just felt like I didn’t know who was looking back at me in the mirror anymore. I felt so much more energetic than I looked and even though I worked out physically, there was nothing I could do for my face. Dr Daines made my face match my body and my attitude again. It’s been three months since my procedure and he has been incredibly comforting and attentive throughout the entire process. Always kind, patient and methodical in responding to my ridiculous questions and I could not be happier and the natural, beautiful result!
Natural, dramatic, flawless, refreshed! Dr. Daines has given me all of that! He had performed my complicated revision rhino last year and he now has performed a lower face and necklift all with local and twilight anesthesia. I'm still early in my healing and even at this stage I can already say what an amazingly positive experience he and his entire team at the state-of-the-art Appearance Center have provided. I chose my surgery date to be a Friday before he left for a one week trip. He opened the center on Saturday morning to remove my dressings before he left and had several board certified plastic surgeons to act as his back-up for me until his return. He also gave me his personal cell phone number! Dr. Daines is not only an incredible skilled board certified plastic surgeon, he's also board certified as an otolaryngologist. I felt the double certification allowed him to have a more well rounded expertise with any other issues that may arise with my procedure, not just where to cut and reposition my skin. And his ability to make scars nonexistent is truly incredible. He's never in a hurry when he visits with you and makes you feel as though you are his only priority. Most importantly, his vision for your final results is always perfectly aligned with yours. He listens carefully and then can almost finish your sentences as you explain what you would like, as though he can read your mind. He creates nothing short of miracles!
Dr. Daines is an excellent human being. I would highly recommend a visit to his office. I found Dr. Daines on RealSelf, noticed Dr.Daines offered a free Rhinoplasty consultation, followed the link to his website, viewed before and after photos, compared credentials to other doctors, and sent Dr.Daines an email thru his website with a link to my RealSelf question and photos. I was pleasantly surprised Dr.Daines did look at my question online at RealSelf and replied by email, I believe within two days. Dr.Daines mentioned something about my condition I was unaware of, a technical term I looked up and read more about on a .gov white paper. It was refreshing to get clarity on my health concerns. I went ahead and mentioned the free consultation, reminded the staff on the patient forms and in person of the free consultation as I had a bad experience with an Arizona ENT. Dr. Daines assured me the consultation was complimentary. Dr. Daines did give excellent advice. Dr. Daines office is clean, air conditioned, well staffed and has a fancy coffee maker with various flavors, is easily accessible, parking is free, restrooms for the property are available and clean. Overall I was very impressed with Dr.Daines bedside manner, and honest assessment. Thank you Dr. Daines for taking the time to examine my situation and help get some clarity.
Dr. Daines is a miracle worker. My procedure was a complicated, long overdue reconstruction necessary for breathing problems and other issues rather than just simply cosmetic. It was a long involved procedure and Dr. Daines nailed it beautifully. I knew better than to mess with something this serious. My extensive research for the best of the best paid off. I am grateful for his masterful skills.
I love Juvederm! I had it done by Dr. Daines a week ago. They put numbing cream on my lips so I wouldn't feel it, which was great! He used a very small cannula so the filler was done in one smooth fanning technique instead of using a needle so I didn't bruise that bad. I did have a lot of swelling the next day, but within a week, it has "settled" in and they look great. It gave me a perfect pout and looks so natural! Thank you Dr. Daines. ????
Botox in the master muscles can slim the lower third of the face and also help with jaw pain from excessive clenching. Early asymmetry after treatment is common as the muscles adapt. A follow-up treatment 2 weeks later can help target areas where the muscle has overcompensated.
A crooked tip like yours often is due to both a crooked septum as well as crooked and asymmetrical tip cartilages (lower lateral cartilages). During a rhinoplasty procedure, both your septum and tip cartilages can be modified to improve the symmetry of your tip and nostrils.
A dorsal hump reduction can be performed at the time of a septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and nasal valve repair. This combination of procedures is very common in my practice. If your goal is to leave the tip of your nose alone, your surgery would not be considered "intense" in any way.
Surgery to correct a deviated septum is often covered by insurance. However, any additional cosmetic changes that a patient desires are not covered by insurance and are billed directly to the patient. In my practice, patients undergoing surgery to improve their breathing who also have cosmetic concerns usually pay between $6,000-$10,000 dollars. The price you were quoted does not seem unreasonable.
I would not expect there to be any damage to your facelift results 6 weeks after surgery. By 6 weeks the incisions and deep tissues should have healed well enough to withstand such an injury. I would still recommend you follow up with your surgeon so that he or she can assess your face and determine if any injuries are present.
