Based on answers, doctors need to see my mid face. I've posted a new pic. It is literally my neck and under my chin only that has the skin laxity I wish to correct.
Answer: Partial vs. full face/neckift It is impossible to give you good advice based on this photo. It appears that neck and lower face lift could be a good option for you. However, without a detailed clinical exam it is not possible to tell you whether full or lower face lift is better. It really doesn't matter how you call it and how long the scar is; by lifting and filling (volume replacement in certain areas of face) you need to bring balance and harmony to entire face. You should seek a consultation with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon and discuss your options. Good luck.

Answer: Lower facelift versus mini lift procedure In my practice, a lower facelift and mini lift are often synonymous. It appears that you would have the most benefit from work done in the neck and the jaw line regions and your mid and upper face appear to be fine. Different surgeons use different verbiage often to describe the same procedure and I think a lower face lift or mini lift which in my opinion is the same procedure would be of the most benefit. Good luck in your area.

Answer: Thanks for your question. As you can see, there are many answers and opinions. It is best to evaluate you in person and find out about your aesthetic goals, have an understanding of your wishes as far as healing and "down time", give you a sense of what the risks and benefits and longevity are for your various options, and the costs associated. From your photos alone you would potentially benefit from non-surgical radio frequency tightening, either external (Tripollar) or internal (ThermiRF). This can be potentially combined with fractional laser skin resurfacing. If you were interested in a more immediate result a neck lift can certainly be considered. Make sure you are consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon experienced with all aspects of dance and neck rejuvenation, and make sure that your own sense of aesthetics aligns with those of your surgeon based on their photo gallery. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Mini-Facelift It sounds like you are a candidate for a Mini-Facelift. My favorite technique is the MACS short scar Mini-Facelift. Developed in Europe, it is the ideal approach for the younger patient, not ready for a full facelift, or patients who desire a less invasive procedure with a shorter recovery time. Check out the link below to an article I wrote about the subject. Good luck.

Answer: Lower face lift, mini lift? A necklift only addresses the neck skin laxity. It will not improve the jowls or cheeks. A minilift also varies significantly in what it entails, depending on the surgeon performing it. It usually performed in patients with minimal laxity and would not improve your neck. The terms facelift and lower facelift mean different things to different patients and vary in their extent from surgeonto surgeon. A facelift or a lower facelift which would include the neck area would have the potential to produce the best cosmetic result of the neck, central cheek and jowl area.. It is important to realize that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do based on limited photos without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Facial rejuvenation needs to be individualized. What would be an ideal approach for one patient is not necessarily the same for someone else. Based on the examination and discussion at the consultation, you should have a better understanding of the various options that can achieve the best cosmetic result for you.
