Is it normal to still feel sharp tearing pains in one breast 2 weeks after getting breast implants? (Photo)

happy with what my surgeon has done , although 3 days ago I started to feel a strong tearing pain which starts from my left nipple and runs down into my cleavage. It happens when I move, bend over or breathing in a deep breathe. Is this normal? my 2 week check up yesterday with the nurse and she said it's totally normal to feel different pains 2 weeks post op. There is no big difference in my breasts other then this pain which progressively started to get worse 3 days ago.

If your implants were placed beneath the Pectorals muscle the pain you are experiencing is in line with where the muscle was cut to allow room for the implants. You do not appear to have any discoloration or other signs of hematoma (blood in the pocket). Rest and relax for the next few days and the pain should decrease. Ask your doctor about a muscle relaxant such as Flexural to help with any muscle spasms that may be contributing to your pain. If you are massaging, I would suggest decreasing how vigorous you massage until the pain decreases.Be sure to check with your doctor regularly.All the Best,Dr. JA. There is pain following breast enlargement. The pain may be on 1 side or feel different between the 2 sides.  Usually the pain is more intense when the implant is placed behind the muscle.  Usually the pain is experienced at the time of the surgery.  Arm movement may influence the pain. The photos do not indicate a complication.  The pain gradually resolves over time.

Congratulations on your recent surgery.  There is no substitute for a formal consultation but in my experience its often common to feel discomfort and pain at this stage of your post operative recovery.  Discomfort can increase as you become more active and begin using  a full range of motions again.  Its important to follow your post operative guidelines and gently ease back into your regular routine.
