Botox in chin hit DLI muscle (2.5 units), It's 3.5 months on now and the effects are not wearing off

Please could you advise : What is the maximum amount of time it can take for the muscle here to revert back? Or Could the Botox have permanently weakened this muscle?

Botox typically "wears off" anywhere from 4 to 6 months. The muscle activity will not have been permanently weakened, and this temporary paralysis should improve shortly.

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your inadvertent injection.  For most patients Botox will wear off from 3-4 months after treatment depending on their sensitivity.  You should start seeing the effects of the Botox wear off, and your muscle regain its strength in the next few weeks.  Hang in there and be strong, Botox does not leave permanent results.

In the chin area Botox usually lasts 3-4 months. But I have seen patient with results lasting up to 6 months. Botox can not permanently weaken your muscle, so be patient, it will start wearing off soon.

All Botox effects will eventually reverse. It should last no longer than 4 months. I have seen patients that have a natural asymmetric smile and sometimes this isn't notice until after Botox. There is nothing permanent about Botox.
