I had restylane defyne injected into my cheekbone area one day ago. I am now having an aching pain in this area that runs down to my jaw. The pain is not severe its just annoying. The other cheek does not have this pain but i noticed there is also less filler in the painless cheek. Is this normal? Is it just muscle pain? I have had filler before in other areas and never felt this
Answer: Normal It sounds like you may be experiencing a very common post after injection bruising and tenderness which will subside in 7-10 days. This may be a result from either underlying bruising or hitting the nerve with the needle. The pain will subside. Deep bruising can sometimes cause pain. It should resolve with ice and time. Contact your provider if overlying redness or pain persists or worsens.
