You are completely correct to have a full evaluation of this mass just to be sure. As it appear directly along your incision line, this may be a cyst or possibly a suture infection if permanent sutures were used for your breast lift closure. Hi. It is always a good idea to let your doctor examine you if there is a breast lump. Then you can also have some type of imaging like ultrasound or mammogram, and your doctor can arrange this for you.

This could be related to sutures or something else. Please see your surgeon for an in-person assessment.

As it is within the scar from the incision, it is most likely related to a suture(s) used for the repair. Having an ultrasound is appropriate to rule out other causes. If necessary, your surgeon can probably remove this under local anesthesia in the office.

Having this evaluated is always a very good idea to rule out any malignancy, the fact that it is on your incision line could mean that it is an old suture knot working its way out. If your surgeon used permanent sutures the knot would still be there and could in fact be working its way out over this time. Most of the time absorbable suture is used there.

Based on your post photos, what you are describing as a suture granuloma. That can be done by excision under local anesthesia. You can either return to your surgeon of record or seek another surgeon Plastic Surgeon to have a local anesthesia removal. Expect fees to range from $800-$2500. Best to virtual consultant with.

Short answer is yes it could be a granuloma or cyst. It could also be a cancer.
