Under muscle explant - is it dangerous to do since they are under the muscle?

Thank you for sharing your question. There is little additional risk to a below the muscle implant removal than above and your overall risk of surgical complications is low.

Removal of breast implants need not be a dangerous procedure if they are simply removed without removal of the scar capsules. If they are under muscle with dual plane, you should have the muscle re-attached, which isn't difficult. Risks increase if you have a capsulectomy and especially if you do en bloc, which is rarely necessary IMO.

Under the muscle explant is easy to perform. It takes less than 1 hour. Depending on the size of your implants and your skin elasticity, your breast skin may hang and you may need a lift. The breast lift can be done simultaneously or delayed.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is a simple procedure which can be done using the same incision. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

You can elect to have your implants removed at any time. Recovery is typically more minimal than from an augmentation. The surgery will not carry a higher risk from the implants being under the muscle. You will want to discuss any lifting restrictions with your surgeon as you mentioned you have a baby.

Removing your implants, with or without capsules, should be fairly straight forward and less risky than pregnancy and delivering a child. Otherwise, just wait.
