Want implants removed. The muscle above the implants has hurt since I got them 3 yrs ago. Can they be removed while pregnant?

I wanted to get them removed but I found out I am 6 weeks pregnant. My boobs are in evan more pain that they already were its almost unbearable I cry and they sweat in pain before I new i was pregnant I was taking Tylenol. Can they be removed while pregnant. I am so scared to keep them in and having to deal with this pain more or if the pain gets worse I also think I have implant illness. They are under the muscle. Thank you

generally speaking, elective surgeries are avoided during pregnancy. Another option can be to use local anesthesia. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Since you are now pregnant, no, your implants should not be removed. No surgeon will want to put your baby to extra risks right now. The pain is probably from your hormones and should improve with time. Once you have settled down after completing breast feeding can the implants be safely removed.
