Please tell me if it’s possible to have them removed with the old incision?

Dear @Beautiful292416 every case is different. if you want an breast explant, that is a removal of the prostheses and the capsule around it (is the way I alway do it) then the scar for me is an L shape scar because it allows me to reconstruct the breast after taking out the volume that was before. There are 3 different types of scars: The anchor shape, L shape and periareolar that I perform if there is a change of prostheses. I link a video in hope to shed mor light in the subject. generally speaking, it is possible to remove implants using the same incision. However, there can be some issues with armpit incision. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Typically in patients who have had a breast implant placed through an armpit incision (transaxillary breast augmentation) later implant removal is safely and effectively done through a crease incision. This allows straight forward access to the implant and the fold incision generally heals quite. Of course, these considerations are best reviewed with the plastic surgeon who would actually be performing your procedure. Hope that helps!

An examination is needed to be sure, but I think removal should probably be able to be done using your peri-areolar incision, but not axillary. If the capsule needs to be removed, that incision makes complete removal difficult.

Of course I can remove the implants through the old incisions. The last implants that were placed with the incisions around the nipples can be remove the same way.

It is often possible to remove the implants using the previous periareolar incision. Implants are not generally removed using the axilla incision. Be sure to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to learn more.

Hi, the removal is possible with the scar around the nipple/areola. Is the scar semicircular or circular? Of course it's necessary to think about the replacement of the implant with your own tissue which means more scars (like a lifting procedure) or at least lipofilling, if you have some donor fat. This needs personal consultation and discussion.
