Hello, please help me! I have photos attached. Over the last 14 months, I have lost 80 pounds. 37 years old. I already had some minor jowls prior to weight loss. Now that I have lost all the weight, they are even more noticeable. I am wondering if I would be a candidate for a mini facelift, or if fat transfer or filler would be better. Already tried all skin tightening treatments under the sun. Nothing has worked. Thank you in advance!

Answer: Age 37, 80 pound weight loss: am I candidate for mini facelift? Yes , the area of laxity around the mouth and jowls Woukd be improved substantially with a lift procedure that appropriately lofted the midface. This can best be done by a deep plane approach, but with a shortened scar and more selective dissection. The results should last many years. For weight loss patients to it is entirely appropriate to consider surgery in a Katie t in their thirties.

Answer: Am I a candidate for a mini facelift at age 37? Based on these limited photographs, you do not appear to be a candidate for any type of facelift procedure. You also appeared to have a recessive chin and prominent pre-jowls on both sides of your chin, therefore you'd be a candidate for placement of a small chin implant to augment your chin further forward and gain additional width to widen the area in the pre-jowl sulcus. This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, which takes about 30 minutes in the office setting.
