I have used Radiesse in the past for lines around the corners of my smile and have been very happy with the results. Recently however, I have noticed that I am also losing volume in my nasolabial folds. I'm wondering what the best filler is for this loss of volume. I'm also wondering based on the pictures I've provided (sorry about the iphone quality), how many syringes you would think I would need to notice a difference.

Answer: Filler for nasolabial fold Hi Sara-- I like the Juvederm products for this area. They are soft and appear natural. Unlike Radiesse, they can be dissolved if you don't like the result or have a complication. 1-2 syringes would certainly suffice. Best, Dr. Groff

Answer: Radiesse vs. Voluma I have use extensively Radiesse in the NLF with great results. As far as Voluma (made by Allergan, same family than Juvederm), I have used it in the NLF for the last 2 years. Even though it is difficult to make a decision based on pictures, I would think that both could work great for you. Radiesse: last about a year and you may need 1 to 1 1/2 syringe Voluma: last about 2 years and you may need 2 syringes. More expensive to start with but last longer. Hope it helps!
