What can be done for these vertical lines under my eyes...they are extended lines down my cheeks when I smile (and I smile a lot) I have had botox/dysport injected into my crows feet but it does nothing for these lines. Maybe I just haven't found the right injector...is there a certain technique used for Botox and these lines?? I use Retin A at night .05 and a great moisturizer and CE Ferulic and glycolic cream w/ sunscreen in am.

The lines that form around the eyes (crow's feet) are dynamic wrinkles which form from years of muscle overuse. Botox is the best treatment for these types of wrinkles as the muscles need to be weakened. It is possible that you received an insufficient amount of botox or injections placed in the wrong spots and that is why you did not see any results. Make sure you visit an experienced injector and view their before & after photos. Good luck.

The vertical lines on the cheek near the crows feet are difficult to treat safely with Botox because they are close to the muscles that elevate your lips. Diffusion of Botox to the lip muscles will result in a crooked smile. Using fillers to replace cheek volume and tear trough volume is the best way to address these lines.
