I haven't tried either but I have heard people have gotten good results with wrinkle prevention using facial yoga. And I've heard of good results with Botox. Can people do both?
Answer: Wrinkles There is no evidence based study to support the use of facial yoga to improve tone and texture of the face.... furthermore the over contraction of the face could cause furthering of wrinkles while botox relaxes the muscles which then causes softening and prevention of wrinkles in areas treated.... I would recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon to be sure your treatment is appropriate and suited to provide the best outcome. kh

Answer: Can you combine facial yoga and Botox for wrinkle prevention? Hello, thank you for your question. There is no scientific data to support facial yoga, and you would not get the results that Botox gives, Botox will begin to work anywhere from 48 to 72 hours and last anywhere from 3 to 6 months.

Answer: Botox and Facial Yoga There's no evidence that facial yoga is effective. Botox is a good treatment for softening wrinkles and lines on the forehead, but does need upkeep for best effects. Botox should be injected every 3-4 months in order to prevent wrinkles and lines from returning. Facial Yoga in combination may not be a good idea if it requires utilizing and overworking facial muscles. Best, Dr. Anil Shah

Answer: Botox You can do both. If you decide to get Botox; I'd avoid the yoga for 24 hours post injection. Best of luck.

Answer: Facial yoga not likely to be effective for facial wrinkles While there may be many benefits to yoga, prevention of facial wrinkles is not one of them. The reason is that the face is the only part of the body where muscles attach directly to the skin, in order to create expression. The more active and toned the muscles are, the more they wrinkle the skin. Botox works by relaxing facial muscles.
