Can Botox be injected Into the buttocks to reducing muscle tightening?

I am a woman & I have a really tight butt and leg muscles I do not work out but I am naturally very skinny and lean. My butt always feels hard and my butt muscles always feel like there tighten or having spasm. Is it possible botox injections can help relieve this

Injecting Botox into the buttocks would have no effect on lifting the butt, or adding volume, or reducing muscle tightening. Botox could precipitate back and hip issues. Recommend stretching exercises to loosen the butt muscles, occupational therapy, walking, swimming, or Yoga.

This is not an area where Botox is typically used, but it may be helpful as Botox is used to help those with certain conditions who have spastic muscles.  I encourage you to select an injector carefully who has experience in this area and can fully answer your questions.

Botox can be injected into almost any muscle to relax the muscles, but the buttock is not a commonly injected area. You need to consult with a provider who is intimately familiar with the anatomy of the buttocks.

Botox is an injectable muscle relaxer. There are other specialties outside Plastics, ENT, Neurology, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology and other specialties which use it to rebalance spastic, tight and contracted single and partial muscles and muscle groups outside of the face and neck. Please consider a Board Certified Physiatrist (Rehabilitation MD / DO) and / or Orthopedic Specialist with this training. Good luck!

Dear Modest,May I suggest stretching, yoga or pilates?  Most back, buttock and leg tightness is due to muscle tightness.  Stretching will most certainly aid in some of the issues you are experiencing.  GOing straight to Botox seems a bit drastic plus, it may have unwanted side effects that can take months to resolve.

As long as a physician treating you finds an indication to treat muscle spasms, Botox can definitely be used. Botox is routinely use for muscle spasms anywhere on the face and body. Make sure you go to a plastic surgeon who knows the anatomy involved. Good luck from New York City plastic surgery

Botox is a great product for relaxing muscles, but not in the butt.  I would suggest you seek advice from a physical therapist.  Having said that, it may be an insurance covered treatment for you.
