Botox wearing off in six weeks?

Question

I went to a new doctor and had Botox on the forehead, 11's, and crow's feet exactly 6 weeks ago. Initially, it was beautiful. But now, I have creasing and significant movement on all areas. Have used Botox for years and am very used to how this product works for me. It's never worn off this fast, usually lasts 3 months. Is it possible the doctor diluted the botox? Or, could this be injection technique? Or, am I now metabolizing it faster? Just want to know before I go back and ask the doctor.

number of valid possible reasons that the BOTOX is wearing off sooner than
expected. As you said, BOTOX typically lasts at least 3 months, and often
longer. Given that the major difference in your experience is a new doctor,
either the technique or number of units used is likely the cause of your
diminished results. Diluted BOTOX is also a possibility. As for your concern
about metabolizing the toxin: Patients who have used BOTOX for years often see
results actually last longer, because the facial muscles targeted by the
injections gradually become weaker. I hope you are able to reach a solution
with your doctor.

Botox can wear off faster than expected if the dose was too low. Perhaps your previous doc used a higher dose. Make a  few calls and find out.

There are a number of reasons why the effects of the Botox may diminish sooner; one of these reasons includes an inadequate dosage. I would recommend following up with your provider, as he/she knows the details of your treatment and will be able to advise you accordingly. Thank you for your question.There are a number of reasons why the Botox could be wearing off early.  They may use a different concentration than the doctor you went to previously. The best thing to do is go back to your doctor and see what their opinion is. Good luck.

Thank you for posting your question. Sometimes Botox does not last as long as prior injections. You might have been injected with a different product, such as Xeomin. You should discuss the issue with your doctor to see what can be done. Good luck,

Unfortunately you will not likely know the answer until you revisit the injector. If this is a repeated issue, I suggest that you switch to a different injector or a different neurotoxin.
